I like the site!

But I think there are a few things that might need attention.
-The Quizlet on the left does't come out very well because of the black background and the blue text
-The main logo looks rather scrambled. It is also very large too.
-Have you considered using border="0" for tables and frames?

Keep up the good work though!

Shmio,

Here's my 2 cents

  • Re-enable the right click, you accuse me of being cheap if I right click. You can't really keep people from taking your graphics, so turn the right click back on. At the bottom of the page you threaten to kick me off the site for stealing your files, yet you used other peoples files for your javascript.
  • This page has Big Time horizontal scroll. Fix that.
  • Your main TSA graphic looks like you just stretched the little graphic to make it larger and the edges got blurry.
  • The quizzlet has a different font than the rest of the page.
  • The "we won the regionals" page is hard to read. Blue links on a red bg doesn't work very well.

Sorry, hope I wasn't too hard, but disableing the right click and then calling me cheap for trying to steal your files just hit a nerve.

John

hi shmio.
the others are right. change the logo it's very "pixelig" (i don't know the english word for that).
you should change the colors too. the red is okay, but i don't like the blue on the white background.
the news in the scroller are hard to read.

that's all.

I don't like the color combination.

Your navigation bar on the left is too big!

On a white background, it's best to have plain text in black color, as surfers recognize blue color text as hyperlinks.

You're putting this in a contest? The first thing you need to do then is get better webspace with no ads (or fewer ads)! If you have to use a free server, choose one that has no ads, or puts them in a set position on the page (no pop-ups), then design your page around that.

The right click message is a) very unprofessional looking b) kind of rude and c) unnecessary - it's not like there's new and amazing stuff on here that a lot of people are going to want to borrow - there's only one graphic!!! It's not as if this is all your own content either. So get rid of that - people can always choose "save webpage complete" in IE and get anything they want. YOu also have to revise your copyright statement to sound more professional (look at what other sites are doing for that). Is it really possible to know who has been stealing stuff from you? Don't be so paranoid about it. These are very aggressive tactics you are using and they're kind of alienating.

What is with all that horizontal scrolling? I have never seen that much before - ever.

You don't need your logo on there twice, and the big one looks like a bad enlargement of the smaller one. Either fix the big one or lose it.

All of the pages on your site should look like the first one. Most people just use a set template for every page. You should also have a navigation menu on every page - especially with those ads on every page.

YOu should really take a look at this in netscape. When I resize my browser window the navigation table shrinks to about an inch wide, and a second copy of the content area and the big logo appears at the bottom of the page. Really, really weird differences here - quizzlet has a black background..

Overall the design itself is not too bad - this is kind of getting to be a standard look for a lot of sites.

1) Ok, well I agree with everyone that you should take away the "no right click." I don't really know why anyone would want to steal it anyway, but...

2) Whoa! Scroll is like a mile long I would get rid of the news script, and especially how you have to click in the white part to view it.

3) I also agree about the menu; too wide. I would make it the width of maybe the smaller logo, that would be a good size.

4) Don't center the menu, and also add bullets. And maybe also add a mouseover or something color.

5) Make the "fine print" fine, or font size smaller in this case.

6) The logo is really pixelated, and the image quality is also pretty poor. It needs to be cleaned up!

Overall I don't like it much...

Well the only thing I can say that hasn't been said is that every page looks different from the first. Try keeping the same layout throught the site!
