Very nice - the orange is a bit garish, but it catches your attention.
- I would use a sans-serif font on this site, i.e. Arial, Helvetica.
- The welcome and top title are nice, but I just don't like the burning FB logo - it's a bit too much. Try and tone it down a bit.
- Your orange sidebars seem to have a black border on three sides, but not the bottom (this is in IE5).
- Are you SURE that your site has been audited by trust-e? Either it hasn't, and you're committing some serious trademark violation, or it has, and you spent large amounts of money for basically nothing (your site doesn't really collect any user information, so privacy is a non-issue).
- What is a lé award?

All comments above apply, and please change the font to Arial, Veranda, or Helvetica...

Hi,
I like your site but you should consider changing the logo.

Thanks everyone! I wrote the privacy statement at www.linkexchange.com, with their privacy wizard, and they said I could now display the trust-e logo, but i think i'll take it down. To SabrinaP, I visit sites that I find, and if I like it I send the award. If you think I'm spamming (which I'm not) then you don't have to display the award. Sorry. Also, I like the black line around the bottom of the side bars too, but I can't figure out how to keep that when the page is long. I tried height="100%" but it only worked outside the frame (it's confusing, so look at the html).

Hi, I'm the webmaster from Digital-Fx. Remember me? You sent me that email saying I automatically reveived the " lé FB award " ? I didn't even apply for it and you sent me the email saying I won it. I accept the fact it was probably some advertising you wanted done for your new beta site. But please don't send out unsolicited email that I don't ask for in the first place.

Hello again fireburn,
As far as comments about your font, I would say use whichever font you like (ei, there are times lovers and ariel lovers it's a personal choice and there is no right or wrong solution)
weird font fact: People reading large volumes of text are able to read serif fonts (times)slightly faster then san serif fonts (ariel)
This wont apply to your amount of text but those little serifs were invented (hundreds of years ago) for a reason , sorry, couldn't control myself .
I think the welcome banner doesn't fit in, in fact it looks like a small version of a MS front page banner. I would take your little FB logo, align it or merge it with the "fireburn web publishing" bar next to it and make them one graphic, right now they are offset.
You can incorporate a "welcome" message either in that graphic or in just text but the "leaves" graphic doesn't fit in.
I'm curious why you have the word "cool" on the bottom of the front page all by itself, is this your signiture?
I would be careful about "beating anyones prices" you may get stuck. (may have to beat 12 year old who charges $2 a day to design web sites) you can maybe save your motto and just adjust the wording to "any REASONABLE" price.
take care,
Carolyn
p.s. thanks for dropping off your card .

I guess I overreacted. Sorry, I guess I acted that way because on my site I will be providing a website award people can receive for their site and I didn't like the idea that people might take the award logo off my site and put it on their site without my knowing of it.
In your case what you did to me, it seemed like a similar thing when people automatically take the logo and put it on their site --> when you don't deserve the award. The best thing to do was ask if I can enter, that would make it more competitive to see if I win the award (especially if you get numerous requests to win the award, more entries to choose from).
By the way, I liked the layout of your site, and the welcome logo has a neat look too. I also liked the fire affect on your logo.

Thanks everyone, again. I am thinking about changing the side bar links to rollover graphics, what do you think? About the award, I will be adding a page that has the winners (BTW it's very hard to win). Do you think I should review a site at a time, and if I like it give it to them, or have categories they can submit to, and at the end of the year I pick a winner of each category? The cool at the bottom of my page I put their to make the page longer (couldn't think of anything else).

I would like to see a list of the sites that have won the award. That way I could see what you think is good.
As far as the site goes I would like to see a little more connected as far as the orange goes and the black boxes on the right should be centered inside the orange or at least have some orange on the left side.

I personally like the awards that are only giving out 1 a month. That way you know that a site that has won the award is one of the 12 best.

I'm thinking of having a forum site of the year, but I have to get the webmaster-directory.com site up first

Then out of the 12 best, you choose the site of the year. Good idea, huh? I might do this for my site.

I know, I deleted the beta site, and I'm in the process of puting it up. As for the redirection, the 404 error page got screwed up by me and redirects you, I have to fix it.

at 11 p.m. EST all I saw was a continuous re-direct from your /beta site to your errors/404.html page and back and forward and back and ....
