Hi:
I have published this site some weeks ago and I would like you to review it.

What I wanted to do was a simple site which loads fast and it was done using web standards.

Please tell me what do you think of navigation, usability, etc, etc

By the way the contents are not finished (I will update them in some weeks)

Thanks in advance.

The layout is clean but very boxy, I don't think you need the box around the navigation or the box holding the content and ads together, make it 3 column not two.

The link section titles should be a off white. I'm on dialup and I saw (well tried to see) what those white words were as the page was loading. load time wasn't to bad but as it's all css the images load very last, even #f5f5f5 would be dark enough but still appear white.

The top left is a very busy corner while the right is empty, this on 800x600 screen, must look worse at bigger, maybe leave the home at very left but put the others to the right, or center them all (would have to see it). even just a banner might do it

A heads up, if you use dollars, can be good idea to use USD or pounds or yen or whatever currency your talking about (USD seems to be standard), even add a link to a currency calculator, or calculator itself.

Good on you for doing a site like this and keeping the affiliate links to a minimum.

I like the style and like Busy said it is clean

But i think you should maybe ad more content to the page as there is alot of blank space on show because or your google ad

Thanks a lot for your nice feedback.
It's nice when people review a site because the owner doesn't realize of some mistakes.

Maybe I can delete the content box so there will be 3 columns.
Nice tip the white titles, they use an image background, so I didn't know the background loads last, so I can maybe add a CSS background. I use DSL, so I can not see the order of things loading Sad

I plan to change the header, so the right top wouldn't be as empty as now.

Ok I will add USD.

And yes, I will add more contents!
Smiling

I think it looks nice, yeah a tat boxy, but you do feel that the whole design is built around the google add, I personally think maybe u need stronger colours so the 1st impression is not the ad rather then your contents. lol, maybe its just me.

This looks really nice. I like the colour scheme a lot. Original, but also soft and pleasing to the eye, but not too boring with the pop of orange.

I think the logo could use a little work. The box is okay but the font is really boring. It is hard to come up with good logos for web design sites so I feel for you there. Try to find a good unique font that suits your design for that.

One problem I'm seeing is that you have no keywords in the important areas. The title tag, headers, and opening page text are important places to get in some keywords for the search engines. This is why you'll see a lot of sites with an explanation or a statement of what they offer in the title tag. This helps people too, because it gives them another indication of what they can find on your site right from the search results.

I think it would be good to use some of the space on the front page to higlight some of your best content. The opening statement there is just sort of "blah blah blah". Nobody is going to read that. So get rid of it and show them what they can find on your site.

I will read that article.
I agree with you, I will do a home page where visitors can find the important things of the site.

Thanks!

Hi:

I have made some changes to the site because your feedback:

- I have changed the image background of the image, so now I suppose you can read the white fonts on dialup inmediatelty

- I have added $5 instead of 5$ by example

- And I have changed the Home page following the tips of Megan's article suggestion.

I will change the header these days too.

Hope your feedback again at least the new home page.

Thanks in advance!

i think you should give people a push start by giving examples and recommendations or even a case study or something.

The color scheme is great! The banner is simple, which I like, but I really don't get its relevance to the website itself. It's just a cube...

I'm not sure what the website looked like in the beginning, but it looks good now. The navigation links should be shortened to a maximum of one line. For example, "Get trafffic with search engines registration" could be shortened to "Get more traffic" and you could talk about ways of registering to search engines to do so.

Good luck with your website! I look forward to reading all of your helpful tips once it is completely finished.

I like the boxy look, makes it look clean and simple.

On the contact page I suggest making the email link a direct "mailto:" link. It's more convienent.

You migh also want to try expanding your meta kewwords with things like "how to register a domain name" and a few other things relating to your site.

I really like the color scheme!

On the contrary, using a "mailto:" link will open up a mail client. However, most people these days use some form of webmail, so the best way to go about it is to use a web form. However, if you can't do this, for whatever reason, the best way to go about it is to simply display your email address so that everyone can copy-and-paste it into their email service. Wink

Looks pretty good. Stile reminds some basic and clean design based on one of modern CMS. Very functional and very simple to modify.

Hi there,

As a design it's basic and pretty uninspiring, though it would be difficult to find fault with the functionality.

Is it's main purpose to generate maximum Google adsense revenue?
