Well, its a nice site altogether. I'm not necessarily too fond of the yellow background, but if it works for you I guess its okay.
The banner looks great except for that dude holding the fish...see how it looks if you remove him, otherwise, really good job blending the images together. Also, I don’t like the background color behind the logo, see about just making it white; I know you have a white glow effect on the logo itself, so maybe you can change that too…a light blue perhaps?
Your CONTACT page is missing a TITLE heading.
As far as you menu system, IMO its’ a little awkward to have a submenu pop-up when you only have one choice. I dunno, try making the parent heading a link too.
A well designed and organized site nonetheless. Good job and good luck!

Well...the top header graphic is a bit bigger than the text box below it causing some overhang.
I would suggest creating some footer graphic to mirror the header graphic (rounded corners, etc). Otherwise it's nice.
PS: The yellow is a bit ... um ... bright. It detracts from the page content.

top banner should be centered on top of the content, and there are some spaces in it. other then that, it looks good and professional.

I have the same problem with the banner but other than that it looks good to me.

Thanks for the replies - the dude holding the fish is me its there mainly because of our marketing of the fishing lakes, as there arent many sites around which have coarse fishing in our area, so thats why most of our customers come.

thanks for all your comments

IE, I've noticed that if I don't maximize it, it'll be near the center and the gaps disappear, but if mazimize the window, the banner is not centered and the gaps appear.

First of all you need to look at how your tables are set up as you have the first one set to 69%!! Set the tables to be the actual width in pixels you need them to be to fit the graphic into. Your header & main section don't line up and fixing your tables will sort this out. See attached pictures - 1st one is at 800*600 & the second is at 1024*768 on IE6.
I do generally like the overall feel of the site and I think the colours work well together as they give a feeling of summer however I'm not at all keen on the text layout especially on the home page as it's confusing where to start, what flows to what and it looks very bland! I'm also not keen on the navigation menu as I don't like pop-outs as they cover the main page and when you have only one option they look daft and gets confusing.
On your fishing prices page, give your table more padding as the text is running the rails and as the text colour is the same as the border colour they merge too much making it hard to read. Same goes for all your price tables really.
I think you have the start of a good site here that just needs some tweeking. I'd be interested to hear about load times on a slow connection though.
Have the link to the webdesign site open in a new window!

You've done a really good job with this. I like the bright colour scheme - it really gives the feel of a summer holiday. The photos are fabulous - good job in using those liberally. I agree that something more could be done with the navigation bar. Try changing the mouseover colour to something with more punch like yellow or the light blue in the logo. I dont' mind the pop-outs at all (and I usually do dislike this sort of thing)
Those Eurotents look cool! I notice on this page that the text formatting needs some work. A list would work better for this type of content.
A couple of things about the header graphic (being really nit-picky here). I think it is a little bit on the cluttered side. It might be better to streamline that a bit. It would also be good if the left side didn't end in a straight line like that. Some sort of cutout would be better there I think. I love the little waves along the bottom there. Great idea, and adds continuity with the bottom photo.

I always have problems with my sites not being viewed very well in certain browsers. I personally wouldnt worry about it to much and just make sure its ok in IE6, after all thats what most people use.

Generally if you make it work in a mozilla based browser it should display well in most others. Don't assume that IE is most widely used as that will change and it is better to iron out the problems now rather than later on. IE is far too forgiving with crappy code!

thanks - what are mozilla based browsers - is there a list? - id like to make the site viewable on as many browsers as possable and always open for suggestions.
thats mainly why i use tables rather than layers as ive heard there are issues with netscape and layers. (although ive heard layers are better for SEO) cant win really

There really is no difference between layers & tables as far as SEO is concerned!
Get it to work in Netscape and you'll be ok generally.

Firefox is a mozzila based browser... it is basically mozzila's cutting edge stripped down browser... its /meant/ to display everything as it should be... but with IE still being king it has problems with some sites... some JS just don't wanna work
check out mozzila.org or just run a search in google

Firefox is what used to be called Firebird. Netscape* is based on Mozilla so these are more or less the same thing as far as display goes.
The site worked fine for me in Opera 7, which is saying something because usually if there are problems they show up in Opera. Especially if you're using pop-out menus. Good job with that If you write your code to standards** you generally won't have cross-browser problems. IE is the lowest common denominator there.
* IMO, Netscape is pretty much dead. Replace instances of "netscape" with "mozilla"
** Your code doesn't validate. You need a doctype, for starters, then run it through http://validator.w3.org/ for more info.
