We just started our site 2 weeks ago and have gotten some traffic. However, people don't seem to be going beyond the home page. We want them to click through into the article section. Can anyone provide us with some critiques as to what we can do to get users to click through into the article section? The site is http://www.healthy-insights.com.

Thanks!

It would probably help a lot if you highlighted some feature articles and news right on the home page. That way people would know right away if you've got something that interests them.

You also really need to work on your design. A new logo would be a huge improvement, and get rid of those bevelled buttons (very outdated).

these are two of the biggest lifestyle sites in Australia. I am linking to the to give you an idea of what others are doing. The our house highlights sections of interest with very low bandwidth images and a catchy line or two. Whilst I dont like the color scheme of the second site, it is very bright and cheery.

I think your site (a megan says) deserves better. If you believe in what you are putting across, then give the best chance possible with a design that will catch and keep the visitors interest.

Maybe make the navigation horizontal, then box your content in and move your little advertisements over to the right hand side.....
