1) Logo is fuzzy, and I don't like the "online" font you used. Also- you can make it a bit bigger.

2) There needs to be something to the right of the logo.

3) What is the side image on the left side? It looks really streched. I can't even see what it says. I think it's a good idea, but maybe make it look like something.

4) I really despise the Java menu. I hate those things Either make a Javascript or dHTML menu to get the desired effect.

5) All the images, come to think of it, are blurry and fuzzy.

6) You should make a form available on the main page to sign up for this newsletter of yours. Also- I get some 404 Errors.

Overall it looks good but it doesn't come up centered on my screen, its over to the left too much and the links at the bottom are too small I think.

Appreciate the comments. We are pretty new at this and will certainly take them into consideration. Any suggestions on picture editors. These were the best we could do with the tools we had.

As for the pick on the left, it's not of anything in particular... we did have a plane blue bar originally. I like the idea of making it look like something and will most likely work on that.

Will definitely look at putting the form on the first page, great idea! Don't know why I hadn't thought of that in the first place!

Funny you ask to have the logo bigger.... we just made it smaller! Will think about that one.... would have to be a better picture for sure!

Any chance you remember where you got the errors? Will need to check those out.

Appreciate your honest opinion and will let you know when we make the changes.

Any good suggestions on how to get some quick traffic to subscribe to our newsletter? Hope that's ok to ask here.

I've never really figured out that question. All I know is when I create my graphics in Adobe Photoshop they aren't blurry at all. I think that might be the same for Paint Shop Pro.

I've never used PhotoDraw, but is there a way you can increase the graphic quality when you save your work?

sykaro,

Reword you mailing list policy on the front page. "Rest assured this is a private mailing list and will not be sold or given to anyone without our permission."

Should be your. (I hope)
http://netmechanic.com will help you with your broken links.

The only real problem is reading the information from your graphic on the right that contains the mailing information(Sykaro_insights_online_subscription.jpg) you may want to try to save it as a .gif since it doesn't contain any photo images. The other image(morgana.jpg) needs to be a bit clearer as well.

I agree about the applets on the right. Javascript should be used for rollovers.
If you need some code, let me know.

We really appreciate all this feedback.. awesome. Now.... for the real answers... what do we use to create our pics so they are clearer? Don used Photo Draw and he agrees they aren't very good.

It is obvious we need help!!!!!!!!!

Looking forward to hearing from you,

Personally I'd use your archive graphic as the site logo and make a new one with the white block part saying "archive" with the blue "sykaro" & red "online" like it is now.

That will help tie the site together. I think if you save the graphics as gifs instead of jpgs they'll work better.

The best program I have found for graphics is Fireworks 2 or 3 by Macromedia. You can d/l a 30 day trial version off of www.macromedia.com. It will let you see a preview before you export it, let you choose the format instantly and tell you the size before it is exported. This will really help in your case, because some of your graphics take up some space(memory) already.

If you need help doing some of this let me know. You can send me the graphics(main file of Photodraw) and I can export them back to you - no charge...

Something needs to be done about the top of the page. The logo looks good, but it's weird how that blue bar just abrupty starts underneath it. Maybe a line (like the one you've got at the bottom of the page) uner the logo would help? I don't know what could be done about this. The problem is that the logo isn't really integrated with the rest of the design. Or maybe you could extend the left side bar up and move the logo to the right.

The site isn't centered on the page - it's a little further to the right than it should be (strange). Also, don't use a graphic for text when you could just use HTML. The newsletter explanation text is rather hard to read.
