I'm really rushed ta the mo, but I will just say that it looks very good but would benefit from less movement IMO on some of the buttons (ie radar).

Your surrounding menu looked nice, but the rest of the page has a rushed look.
A few things:
- I'd consider making a background for the poll table and getting rid of the extra line break.
- Is that java really necessary? I had just finished my daily tour of zdnn and when I clicked on one of the headlines that interested me it didn't do anything but let me scroll the headlines at my own pace.
- Bottom part of the page needs some work
- Takes too long to load on my sloow modem

Looks good.
1) too much white space on the top.
2) too much movement.
3) the bottom looks unprofessional, i would get rid of the text.
4) you might want to tell what the site is about on the main page, i still can't figure it out.
5) the sub-pages look unprofessional. and i would get rid of the background on these pages.
