Not much to the site, pretty simple. IMo seems to be wasted space in the header. The big clash in images caught my attention. At the top you have a "WinXP" style image (the two heads) and then down in the main page, you have an early 90's clipart style image.
I would suggest going to a free image site and get a real picture, or at least get one that doesn't look like it is from dot-matrix days. (dating myself LOL)

Hello,
I changed the colors and everything seems to be working fine.
If you want to change the colors you have to choose No Theme and then change the colors. You can only use a theme or use different colors but not both. If you still have problems please let me know. THANKS
Robert

The problem when using text on backgrounds people try to read it, in your case it can't be read as there is only bits showing around the page.
I think your text should be black, all blue (including links) is very confusing and makes your site look tired.
You need a proper logo

i like your website, good html work there, but maybe you should think of adding different colors to ur site to make it more colorful. By the way i like your shoutbox...specially the scrolling messages

I'm not a fan of text backgrounds. I think you should just leave it a solid color if you can't get an actual image that would fit here.
The purple and blue theme doesn't look professional to me. I would go with black text. For the logo/banner it would be fine if it was blue, and that's a fine color for links, but text should always be somewhere on the grayscale in my opinion.

I don't care for the background too much either hehe. I definatly like the shoutbox though. I'll definatly sign up and give one a shot, I was looking for something like this for a friends site. Other than the background, I like it, nice and simple. Allthough I agree that it might look more professional with Black text.

Pretty good, I would replace the pixelated lady with a real preson. Also I'm guessing this is geared towards people who don't know how to set up a db on their site or don't have script technology right? Do you get lots of subscribers?

So I couldn't sorry. I think you can do better on the over all look of the site. though.

the shoutbox seems like a good idea, but for people who cant use scripts and the like. it seems to work pretty good and the colors can be changed which is a plus.
This is my site, It could use some reviews! Tell me how much I suck!

Hello,
I just got the site put up about a month ago, So I have not got alot of subscribers yet. I don't understand why it would not accept your email address. I have tested the site over and over and I can't find anything wrong. Thanks to every one for there comments. It may be awhile before I can change the look of the site. Thanks again. Robert

This ithe perfect thing for a dummy like me. Thanks for it.
EDIT: The reserved Name thing is a good idea for when I post in my own shoutbox - but you cannot display the name+password as the name after accepting the submission! It would let someone HAX0R me.
Works great other wise, though. See it in action here: http://www.freewebs.com/acadiabl/Tongues.htm
It works on my machine.

Hi robertnoyes,
I'm wondering what you are hoping to achieve with this site? there are hundres of free shoutboxers availiable all over the place, I have a great big one on my world of warcraft guild website and I have another website with 19,000 ajax based chat / shoutboxes on. so what makes yours different to all the rest and why should anyone use yours instead of the others?
and whats in it for you? why do you want people to use your's are you a charity? are you going to offer a subscription / hosting thing? whats the plan?
site looks a bit blue and cliparty a bit like that annoying talking woman banner ad

It's a nice shoutbox, for sure. I can only agree with the previous comments - replace that horrible pixelated lady clipart! Also, there's so much space in the header - you could move the buttons up there and you'd have a nice compact header.
