Hi,

I haven't made a website before, but I decided to do one for my English class. What are your opinions?

Nice use of flash...

1) Center the animation.

2) The color changes are cool, but you still have that smaller box next to each menu item that does nothing. Make use of it!

3) Make some cool change after clicking on one of the menu items, and before the stuff actually comes up. 'Cause right now it's like: click on the link and BOOM.

4) Maybe some type of logo or something?

JJL,

Flash is a powerful tool, use it. It looked to me like this was some sort of homework assignment and you probably weren't really into it completely. Nothing against homework, it's just that it's hard to get excited about it. Now onto my opinion.

  • Use more Color
  • "Flash"ier animations too.
  • Like Justin said, center everything
  • Add sound. This opinion my elicit some negative feedback from some of the other posters here but, in my opinion, Flash sites go hand-in-hand with sound.

Just my 2 cents.

Try to find some webspace without ads on it - find out if your ISP offers free webspace with your account (most do I think)

It's a little basic compared to most of the flash sites I've seen, but a good start. Now you need to start building from what you've got, with fancier animation, maybe some sound (but make sure you give people the option of turning it off!!), more content etc.

Hi-

Thank you to all for the advice. As some of you have suspected, this was an assignment, and I wasn't exactly excited about it. In addition, I started and finished the project the night before it was due.

Thanks again,
Josh
