Hello all,

I had some reviews about a week ago and attemped to address some of the issues that were recognized. I'm hoping to show it to the masses some time this weekend and would really appreciate any and all comments on layout, functionality, load times and general look and feel I still have some polising to do. thanks soooo much!

PS: If anyone is kind enough to also go through registering it would help greatly, if you do you will be asked for your web page to be listed in your profile info(optional). List http://yahoo.com as your web page and I will delete all registration info asap. thanks again!

Looks great, the green text does get a bit hard to read after a while thou.
It lines up the same in IE5 and Netscape4.7 except the font sizes.
Ie's font size is bigger than normal, while Netscapes is smaller than normal, being small and bold also makes it harder to read (but not impossible)
the difference the font makes is 4 screens in Netscapes to Ie's 6 screens deep.
I clicked the rego page and it had a pop up asking for my age? why does age matter?
certain bits of text in netscape are unreadable (to small), things next to "name", "password" etc in grey
alos has a javascript error in netscape: JavaScript Error: http://cheatazoid.com/cheat/_scripts/cheat.js,
line 28:
document.maintbl has no properties.
I didnt register as you mentioned something about using yahoo as the homepage? have no idea what thats about, i love my homepage i have now (a blank page lol)

I just noticed some of your mouseover buttons on the right dont align proper on mouseover, looks like its about 1 or 2 pixels off center, at first I thought it was meant to be like that (gives it depth) but noticed the first 5 dont align, next 2 do, next doesnt, next does

here I am Smiling

The green on black is just too harsh for my old eyes!

The console graphics are very nicely done although the overall result is too busy. I'm on cable so i didn't notice any loadtime issues but it looks to be a heavy page.

On many of your rollovers, the text is slightly askew, spoiling the effect.

The age request during registration is to recognize those under thirteen and inform them that they need their parents permission to register(liability).

When you do register youhave the option to list your webpage for your profile I was using a value of yahoo to flag those kind souls who tested it, so I could delete their registration info.

Thanks again, I fixed the js error ;}

I appreciate your effort. I know that the green is BRIGHT and the page is busy but the target audience is 12 - 17 year old males.

I'm making this site with my son, he and his friends really like those 2 qualities(BRIGHT and BUSY). I must have shown them 20 or more more subdued text colors but everyone of them preferred the green:0). Go figure, oh to be 13 again!

Again Thanks!

Ok....I am traveling back in time....POP...I'm 13 again.

"Oh, man! That is a way to cool gameing site. Hey dude, it even has tons of cheats. Awesome!!! Let's rock-n-roll!!!

Alright I am 30 something again.Laughing out loud
I think it looks pretty darn good. The green is a bit bright but hey, if they like it....leave it. Those are some really clean looking graphics you have and they load surprisingly fast. I think it is fine. The first page looks a little empty in the middle but I suppose you will add stuff there.
Nice job.

Two things:

1) The bold green text does get a little harsh on the eyes after a while. Sad

2) "I'm there for the cheats. What's all that text there for??"

The green color is fine, but making the text bold makes it harder to read. I think you should remove the bold effect, or lighten up the background. Use bold text for captions/headings etc. and not for body text. I doubt altering this will impact the "bright and busy" feel of the site.

Speaking of busy, keeping the important content (new cheats/reviews/releases/featured stuff etc.) up the top would be more useful than a thesis on your site. Wink Why don't you put all that in a "Message from the creators" section? If you really want to have some intro, just one or two short paragraphs with a "more" link should suffice.
Also, having more pictures (game/box shots) will make it more attractive to kids.

Besides that, the site looks great. Loads very quickly, even on my *****y 56k connection. The interface is pretty good. I also like the organisation of the content. Good job! Smiling

P.S: (I'm 16 years old) Laughing out loud

Edit: Have I missed something or is there no PC games section? Shocked

Can't be talking about me then Laughing out loud hehe

You mention your target audience is 12 - 17 year old males, its nice that you can make it and test it on users that age but I bet the average age of the average gamer is a lot higher, at least mid 20's, I'm a 30 something male, I still play games (shhhh, just between us Wink) but have never used a cheat site - yet, oops I tell a lie, I did use one for carmagaddon, love the pinball mode. I also have a friend who is older than me, that is addicted to play station games

but even for a young target audience its looking very professional.

*and to think I can remember playing frogger and donkey kong lol*

I think all the little niggly bits have been mentioned all that's left to say is well done!
