You need to fix your link, it goes to http://www.webmaster-forums.com/www.logomaker.250x.com/pastjobs.html.
Damn pop ups, 3 of the lil buggers.
anyways, there isnt anything really there, what could you do? anything, everything, heres some ideas:
Make the links into oval buttons
add a slight bevel to the side border
add a slight down shadow for more of a leveled effect
Use a font in the logo thats more readable
move the logo to the left
move the logo to the right
make it longer
Now I also tryed it on Netscape 4.7, your using layers so all I se is a big mess. Why use layers? you are using a very basic layout.
Use a table, 2 cells wide, one for the links and one for the text (content), if you wanted you could add a table above this one for your logo/banner.
you have a lsight boo boo in your tags, you have
</BODY>
<body background="bgr.jpg">
then the contents
but no ending body tag before the /html tag
I would add your content then make the site around it, if thats all there is then I'd build graphics around it, you need a theme

I really like the design you have for the logo there. Build on that. Take that oval with the gradient on the left side of it and make some buttons like that for your navigation. Try making your site design a fixed width box with a coloured background around it. Maybe have the buttons and logo kind of overlapping the edge between the coloured background and a white content box in the center.

I would pick another colour for the menu bar on the left hand side...something that goes with orange but isn't as bland as grey...you've started off with a colourful logo - follow that colourfulness through the rest of the site...
...and like Busy mentioned, buttons instead of text links would liven the menu up a little
good idea of a service to provide people will take into account the image of your site when considering to hire you to make their logos...so jazz it up a bit and go for it

I agree, you have got to make the graphics the best thing since sliced bread and give it all you've got to make this a stunning site to show off what you can do!

The blue is a little bright and the links are to small and hard to read, the logo is also a little hard to make out, mostly the "a" and "e"
there is a slight scroll bar (both ways) on 800x600
maybe try blend the top section into the side section more
lines are tricky to get looking good, but I like that cut out oval (top left), maybe bring that to the left and blend it downwards while the rest of the banner is the cut out bit, giving it a feeling of depth, a rounded corner on the blend wouldnt hurt either.

I personally don't think it works too well. The solid colour strip looks out of place and looks like it's cutting off the bottom of the oval. I don't particularly like the logo either, maybe it's the glow around it, don't know. The white makes the other bits look unfinished.

At first glance the site seemed likeit wasn't finsihed. There is not enough content. Here is a list of what I would do
1. Change the font to something like Veranda, size 2
2. Add some more content,
3. Try and smooth out the lines in the site. A graphic design site should not be so rectangular.
4. Definitely make some mice little rollover images for your menu.
Cheers
