Please critique smallchurchadvertising.com
(Be Mean To Me PLEASE!)
I have made a lot of changes to my website and would like it to be critiqued by someone ruthless. Don't spare my feelings... tell me everything that's wrong. But don't forget to tell me how to make it better! Thanks a lot!

I checked out your site. It isn't attractive at all. and I find it too dry and boring. I suggest you change your color scheme.
It is well optimized and easy to use. The template isn't bad but needs more work. As for content... I think everything is ok. You don't have stiff competition in that area anyway. so I think your content is unique.
As for your images, change them to something with higher resolution.
the images you used are all blurry.
I'd generally rate your site 6 out of 10.
Once you change to a much better color scheme, I believe your site will definitely look attractive.

Thanks for the advice. I made a lot of changes. The colors never did work for me. I also didn't like the template much. So lots of changes. What would you think of having a little video on each page talking about the products.

I love the banner at the top. It is great! The boxes on the left don't look as good as the banner. It would look good if the font matched the banner and you added the shadowing. The box in the middle "church brochure design" should go at the bottom of your page. The titles "Exp. Your Min." and "Church Grow. Res." need to have the space taken out below it. Add a break instead of a paragraph break.
I hope this helps:-)

The design suits the website, I think its really good. But next time don't save images as jpg as they loose quality, png is the best format.
Anyway, good luck!

This looks much better than it did the last time I saw it. The blue is a nice addition to the colour scheme. The grey background isn't intentional, is it? Make sure you specify a background colour in your stylesheet.
Now you really need to start working on your typograhy. The choice of typefaces, the spacing, and other treaments is very immature here. The top banner graphic has a lot of problems. The text next to the church is oddly spaced and the smaller text is hard to read. The content is kind of pointless anyway - where is your business name? How are people supposed to remember you?
The navigation menu on the right is overdone and oddly placed. Lose the bevel effects (that is SO 1999!) and if you must have lines, make sure they are no longer than the longest menu item. That menu might be better placed horizontally below the header. The "Church Advertising Services" bit is too hard to read with white on beige.
Watch your capitlization too. Normally small words in a title aren't capitalized. So it should be "Helping the Church" not "Helping The Church"... although this isn't really a title so Church probably shouldn't be capitalized either. I also question the use of all caps in the beige banner and navigation. That would probably be better in lower case.
The left sidebar menus kind of look like google ads. I'm not sure if I should click on those or not. There's also a gap between the bottom of the beige part and the blue bottom section in Opera. Get rid of those borders around the beige parts. Those look like default table borders. That beige looks like a different shade than the bar under the header.
Read as much as you can about typography.
Your About Us page doesn't even say anything about you. It talks about your beliefs, but who are you? How long have you been in business?

You have no data capture on your website.
Try to think about what visitors are looking for and then capture their email address.
