This is a website that I am working on. It is not yet complete but I would like for you to give me your opinion of the overall look and feel of the site. Please keep in mind that some of the links and not up yet and also that I am fairly new to web design (less than 7 months). Because I don't know how to write HTML I used frontpage 2000. the address is http://www.savvysalons.com .

Looks pretty good considering you made it in FP 2000, however it is not going to look good at all in NS, and the design could be better, but I don't have time to list my siggestions right now.

Very nice! I like the "watery" bar. But the sidebars are kinda plain. Maybe you can make them "watery" as well?

Hmm
- The "watery" effect turns black all the way to the right. On both the top and the bottom versions of the "watery" effect. Fix that!
My first impression was that it looked great. Now that I look at it a bit more I am changing my mind.
- Uncenter your left hand menu. Looks bad like that unless they were all buttons of the same size.

1) The left menu is full of **** that doesn't need to be there. It's hard to depict the actual menu. I would make the menu stand out, then put all the other junk under it.
2) The logo could be a little bit wider. Also- why not combine the "beauty salon" and "savvy salon" images together? I don't like them seperate.
3) The water part looks cool, but you need to incorporate that look into the rest of the site.
4) On the sub-pages the menu is in the middle of the cell, and not up at the top of the cell. Try adding the following code to the TD tag:
