It is a little too spaced out, I would prefer the site to be a little more compact, also, is the recent news supposed to be floating right - it looks odd, perhaps think about bringing that higher up on the page in a more prominent location.
Other than that it's a reasonable colour scheme, it just doesn't need to be spaced out so much.
There are two options:
1. you intentionally didn't float to left the div with the "content" ID thus created a quite cool thing which I really never saw anywhere
2. you mistakenly didn't float to left the div with the "content" ID thus created a quite cool thing which I really never saw anywhere
The site is simple, clean and quite smart. Apart from the link in the bottom saying "Design downloaded from Free Templates - your source for free web templates ", it's quite cool.
By the way, someone tell Greg to call his ISP and explain them how to reset a router.
Well I would recommend a different template, you can get one at www.freelayouts.com or buy one from somebody. It may take a while editing everything but thats the way it is.
You could also stick with your current one but edit it around a bit by adding like a background or something.

Is there anything else I could do to the website to make it look less like a blog instead of getting another template? I know CSS and HTML. I can add anything to this website.
I tried a few times each day and this is the first time I have been able to access the site without that network error.
It looks clean and tidy, although perhaps a little too clean, clinical. Maybe down to the amount of white.
The top banner/logo/image is not present when I view an article from clicking the "more" link. This would be the "recentnewsandupdate.html" page
The design and layouts in general seem to be unorganised. With text in the middle, then underneath some on the right but nothing in the middle or left etc.
Make use of the space you have. Floating DIVs next to each other is a good way, or even use a table if you are more familiar with those.
The photos page (photos.html) has a list of very small images all down the centre of the page.
There are many ways to get a few side by side. Tables, floated DIVs, an image gallery script etc.
There isn't a lot of content either. I seem to have clicked on all the news and events you have in a few minutes.
You must have hundreds of pages all doing tiny little things - ?
I am on the about us page (aboutus.html), and at the bottom I click a link "2008-2009 Officers" and it loaded a new page (officers.html) but all the content seems to be the same apart from now under the original link I clicked from the about us is some more text.
And the same thing happens for ALL those links at the bottom. They all load their own page for each link then with the text visible for that link. This is a very clumsy and long way around of doing things.
Either use Javascript to open up the text are when the link is clicked (you will find tutorials and code easily for this) or as there isn't much text, just leave them all open to see on the about us page.
Thank you everyone for your comments. I recently added the light pink background with the shadow effect on it, so the page would not look plain. I plan to get my own domain. I have it on the current domain temporarily while I work on my website. I still welcome any comments.
I redid the photos page. I plan to put a lot more pictures in later. How does it look so far? I used a free software called Easy Gallery Generator to make my photo gallery.
I think you should get a domain first and redesing the whole site.
In the homepage the footer is not loading or perhaps its not working in my browser.
Please check the site works properly in all browser hower i can see the footer in the about us page.So the problem is with your page.
It too simple and the top banner image is blurred.
Couldn't see the footer in the homepage.
I think your should check it out and try to redesign it.
Thanks

Ceus,
Do you have any suggestions for jazzing my site up? I have this webpage on a temporary site address for now. I plan to get a domain name.

your site looks more like a blog than a website.

I created a banner for the top of the website so it wouldn't look so plain. I am not a graphics person so let me know what you think.

I think the server cannot handle a lot of hits. It should work if there is not a lot of traffic on it.

You should get your own domain. The design is fine, no need to exaggerate. The navigation is very clear, which is good too.

Pink color is good choice for a website on women's topic. You should really get your own domain as it puts negative impression.
{Mod edit: Please don't self promote in people's critiques, cheers.
