Here are my comments ...

1) Get rid of the pop up page when you first enter your site.
2) The colors are rather dark but I really like them..I think they go good and they catch my eye.
3) I might put some Copyright info at the bottom.
4) Is there a way to make the Help forums more like the home page color wise?
5) On your contact link, instead of having it just a email link, have it go to like a form they can fill out..It will help ya get more info on what they need and it would look a lot more professional...

These are all just nitty bitty things...Nothing big because i really like the site and am very impressed. You did a great job

To be honest, I don't really like the dark colors used (in particular, the black background). For a webmaster site, I always enjoy light graphics, as they just seem more inviting and easier on the eye.

The logo is nice, but try using a different font for the "web" part. Maybe make the logo a little bigger too.

The green onmouseover colour doesn't really go with the rest of your site colours I find. Try some shade of blue?
Try rounding the edges

It looks pretty good though. Good job

Hey, first of all thanks a lot for your comments.

1. I just wanted to see whether or not the popup would interested people more in subscribing to my newsletter. It uses cookies so it won't popup on the same computer for another 90 days. I'm gonan take it off though.

2. Well, I already had a couple remarks considering the colors but I'm not planning on changing them. I want Echo Web to be different from other sites and this is one way to do it.

3. I have a link to the disclaimer on every single page.

4. We are working on making the forums better. Unfortunately, you won't see any changes until I'll get my domain change finished.

5. Good idea.

Overall, thanks for your comments.
Anybody else?
Boris

1) The logo really doesn't go with the site in my opinion. It's too small, and doesn't have a webmaster type site look to it.

2) Now there are too many different blues here. You have 4 different color blues here. I'd say limit it to 2, and add a bright color (maybe weave in the yellow more).

3) Eww- I hate the green mouseover color you have there. Change it to either one of the blues or yellow.

4) In my opinion there is too much space between the border of the table and where the menus start.

You've got some great content, just just need to make it look pretty

HOnestly, I feel like I've seen this same design on about 10 other "webmaster" sites (okay, so that's an exaggeration but you get the point.)

Have you viewed this in NS? Your center column overlaps the left column.

Also, I'd consider placing the second part of the site title (The Web Developer's Starting Point) as part of the logo graphic.

Would it be possible to tell me your modem speed and the loading time along with your comments? This would really help me out since I just moved to a new host and I'm trying to figure out which one was faster.
Thanks
Boris
p.s. A few more posts and we'll become a HOT topic. Also, if we reach 20 posts, I will give 3 people 7,500 button exposures each (at first it was only 1 person and 5,000 exposures).
