Hi,

I just noticed that TWF is finally up again. I couldnt reach the site for quite a while. Must be our backbone.

I just finished a private job for a small hip-hop fashion label. At this time the site is only targeted to visitors who already know how cool the label is and stuff. An introductory flash intro for visitor who dont know anything about the label will be added later.
The site is in German but is uses practically 100% (except the online shopping part) anglizisms (English words in used as German), so you guys should have no trouble navigating.

You should have some time to visit the site because the loading time is so to say horrible. Especially, for people who are used to sites which use most HTML and CSS and only a few images.

Well, have fun: www.BLACKBOMB.de

Thanx,

Malte

1) The splash page is ok. I would try to blend the image more into the background though. I don't like it when I can see the edges of the image, which I can.

2) After I clicked the image, another window opened with the site. The only problem is, the background was really screwed up, and never stopped loading. I could see the navigation or anything. Just a really screwed up background. That's as far as I got

I'm using IE5 w/ Win 95 BTW...

The splash page image is really cool! I like it.

I like the moving clouds actually...

Malte,

I didn't think the download times were so bad and I've only got a 56K modem.

The moving clouds were something you don't see every day, a nice break from the usual web pages I see.

My browser, IE, had some problems with the image map of the Black Bomb model. The mouse pointer couldn't decide if it was a link or not.

I'm not sure if I was looking in the right places or not, but I only saw about 4 items for sale in the store.

Certainly not your typical 'American' e-commerce site, which, it looks to me like you were trying to stay away from. It looks to me like this site will go well with the customer base you're targeting.

I can't even load it!! And I'm in the UK. So in theory it should be easier for me to load than for those in the US!

Looks like the site is down which is not nice if your paying $1000/month for the damn server and nobody is answering the hotline.

Justin, I tested with the same configuration and it works well for me. You might have encountered a network problem.

Right now there are only 4 items; although is you take all possible colors you get to about 20. There'll be about 10 products soon. You need to realize that this they only sell the stuff they make themselves, so you cant compare it to a large site where you can buy multiple brands and they are not The Gap either... but maybe the next FUBU.

We'll see,

I can't even see the borders of that splash graphic unless I really stare at it hard. Maybe you could set the page background to that dark brick texture - that would make the whole page look like a wall, and would allow the graphic to blend in a little more for people who catch it.

The moving cloud is a really neat effect. Lots of graphics (as usual with your sites). Not my taste, but if it works for you...

I forget what link I clicked - a page with hats. There's a "Limited Edition" button here in pale blue with bright magenta text - not a good looking graphic in the first place, and it totally does not coordinate with the black and red colour scheme for the rest of the site. Maybe a red star or even yellow would look better.

This is definitely not your traditional design - a little harder to navigate than most, but that's probably part of the experience.

Looks great but I would have to agree that being able to see the border of the image kinda takes that spotlight effect away.

Malte,

You have some very cool things going on here. Personally I would dump the splash page....it really doesn't serve any purpose than showing off a little art work.

The only major problem I have with the whole site is the mystery navigation.......Now I am an advanced web surfer so I know to run my mouse over the screen to find links but what about those that aren't so web savvy? The cryptic text buttons are OK but the lazy surfer isn't going to take the time to actually read them and say......."Awwww.....this is where I go to get to the t-shirts!"

I really love the look of the site, it is very fresh and unique but don't make your visitors work so much to get to the goods BTW.....love the hats!

Overall I think it's a cool site. But I do have a few comments.

It's a bit slow.

When I hover on the page with the clouds, the cursor gets goofy. It's like it's not sure where the links are - and that's kind of confusing.

About the logo. I think it's really original looking...but I think it's hard to read. If I just happened on this site (and didn't look at the URL) I wouldn't be sure what it said.

The last thing are the different pages. They are all a little too different in my opinion. But that might be more of a personal preference.

Overall I think it is very original, cool, etc. etc.
