Let me know what you think of the general design, layout, and navigation (ease of use). If you see any problems, let me know!

I appreciate your time!

P.S. I'm still working on a Netscape friendly version Sad

Wow, I like it a lot! It's so much better then the current site. Easier to find what you're looking for; more colors (excellent); good use of mouseovers; and the content area looks a lot better. Not really much else I have to say, except...

1) I get 404 errors with some pages. I'm just assuming you haven't completed those yet.

2) Logo could be a little better. Right now it's just plain white text, which looks good, but doesn't really add anything to the site. Maybe add a sybol that characterizes DIS.

Otherwise I think it's a great design.

I like the design and color scheme. Couple minor comments:

1) It sort of bugged me that the order button doesn't change color like the rest. The shopping cart change is cool but not very noticeable.

2) The Live Help box could use a picture or an icon of some sort.

3) In Netscape 6 the bottom table is not aligned to the bottom completely.

4) You may want to consider putting the telephone number at the top.

Looks cool though!

I like the design, colors, etc. Looks good, seems easy to use and navigate.

One quibble though. On the pages for comparing packages, you've got "-" to mean "no" and "x" to mean "yes". To me, X means no more often than it means yes. For me, the page would make more sense if the x was chaged to Y or perhaps a little checkmark graphic.

Thanks for the comments and suggestions so far!

Yeah, still one or two pages that need to be done.

Some things are in the process of changing that made me decide not to put time into a logo... Once the changes are made, we will have a logo.

I can fix that Smiling

OK, I'll see what I can do about this.

Quote: 3) In Netscape 6 the bottom table is not aligned to the bottom completely.

The site doesn't look perfect in Netscape yet. I will shortly, though.

Quote: 4) You may want to consider putting the telephone number at the top.

I'm going to put a live help button at the top. We would prefer that customers contact us online (live chat, icq, e-mail) etc. so placing the preferred contact information more readily available was what we wanted to do... The phone contact information is still very easily obtainable on every page though.

Hmm... Not really sure I agree. X or a check mark usually means selected while a - usually means no or minus... Just like + and - ... But I could just take the - out completely.

I have a suggestion. Why not move the Live Help image to the right of the logo, then move the graphics showing what products you use down to where the Live Help image currently is.

This might be just me, or my monitor, but the green is too light for me - it's really hard for me to read everything that's in green. The orange you've used has the same problem. (given the results of our recent poll, I would think that you'd want to highlight your "customer care" link better)

I'm just browsing around here... It always confuses me when a site has a horizontal menu and a left side menu that contain the same thing. it takes me a minute to figure out that they are the same thing and not something differnt. I went on to the Starter Packages Overview page, but I remember on the hosting mainpage there was a link to compare the starter plans, but now I can't get to it. I have to go back to the main hosting page and then choose the compare link. Oh, right, it's there on the side (I think the text on there should be bigger, because I tend to forget it's there). The text links at the bottom of the page confused me, because I expected them to go to the other Starter Packages pages, like you had on the hosting overview page, not the other types of plans

Alright, I'm on the compare plans page. I'm really struck by the idea that the content area just doesn't seem to go with the header and footer area. The colour schemes don't seem to coordinate with each other. Maybe try to integrate some more navy into the body and orange/green into the header.

On the hosting page I also think that you should display prices a bit more prominently - like maybe in bigger text next to the bulleted lists.

One more thing - the part on the top right with the "SQL", "web hosting", "e-commerce" etc. around that circle doesn't quite look right. It seems to random and kind of unfinished. I would just take that out of there.

Alright, that was a lot more critical than I meant to be. It really is a good design, but I just find it to be more complicated than it needs to be. I honestly think I liked the old one better!

Um, wow! Smiling

Does anyone else have an issue with the colors making hard to see the text? I find them very easy to see, and everyone I have talked to outside of TWF have said the same ... By no means do we want them to be hard for people to see, but it is also not possible to make a site 100% pleasing to everyone or even 100% friendly to everyone.

And regarding navigation, does anyone else get lost? Our goal was to make sure users could easily navigate the areas, especially the service areas. If you get lost, we obviously aren't meeting the goal.

The color schemes don't match on the compare pages - you are absolutely right on that... I will be adjusting that.

We could bold the pricing on the hosting pages.

The point of the top image was to randomly highlight some of our services and features... We obviously don't want to highlight them all but we wanted to highlight some of the more advanced features. I personally like it up there...

Thanks for the critical review. A lot of good points were made. I only hope you are the only one that likes the old site better! Smiling

The colors look great on both of my systems. However some of them are not web safe so they may look different on different systems. Personal color settings and monitors can also change color perception quite a bit.

Yeah, just make those colors web safe, and they'll look the same to everyone. On my computer the colors are perfect. I can read everything fine.

One thing that does bother me now is the top right (right of the logo). It just doesn't look right with all those different images stuck up there. There needs to be some type of uniform look. Y'know what I mean?

First glance - LOVED IT!

The colors look fine on my computer.

I like the randomness of the graphics in the upper right. The whole site is set on a nice grid but you have to break the grid once in awhile to have some "interest".

I have to say that the navigation confused me as well. You have web hosting, ecommerce, dedicated servers, co-location, and order at the top of every page in the hover buttons. You also have that as the bottom links down the left hand side of every page...EXCEPT on the about us pages. That was very confusing to me. Since those links are on the top of every page in a very prominent position, I would just get rid of them on the side. They just aren't necessary.

On all of the pages that you have an "overview" the header at the top says "overview". Except on the webhosting overview page. You should have the header as overview and then on then under starter, business, and highend packages pages, the header shouldn't have the word overview. Does that make sense?

When you first go to the about us page you see our mission, our people etc. and that IS the corporate profile page. That seems weird that you don't click on that first link.

The first page of partner programs the header says affiliate program when you click on affiliate program the header says overview. And when you click on reseller program it says overview at the top.

Basically the last three comments I have refer to the headers at the top of the page. Have it consistent throughout the site - the header should match the name of the link so people know where there are.

I think the site looks great and functions very well. There are just a few picky things that I think would help it be the BEST!

Extremely impressive design and graphical work! Looks mega professional. Only thing I would change is the green color of the button fonts at the very bottom. Don't think it looks good on white. Try changing it to a dark blue color.
