I just finished my online rebate center website. It allows people to purchase items from major retailers and then get a rebate check from us. I would appreciate if people tested out the signup and login script for me as well. I wrote it from scratch and you never know what type of problems you run across. Thanks for looking at it, and if possible beta testing my login.

Welcome to the forums! Thanks for doing some other reviews first, we appreciate it.

The biggest problem I see when I look at your site is that you don't seem to have a logo. That's a problem. How are people supposed to remember who you are if you don't give them something to remember?

I assume you're going to put something on the front page here that encourages people to sign up, right?

Going through the signup process, the first issue I encountered is that the form didn't encode my password to *'s as it normally does. That was a bit of a surprise. I think some people might have a problem with this - they might think that if the password doesn't turn to *'s then it's not being kept private. Otherwise a nice, simple sign-up form. You're not asking for any unnecessary information so that's nice.

Once I submit the form, I see a blank screen with a short message on it - this page should be the same as all ot her pages, with the same template. That way I can continue browsing your site while I wait for my e-mail confirmation.

When I log in I sort of expect to see more information. I don't know what, but something. But maybe that's because I haven't used the service at all yet . Perhasps more details about where the rebates are coming from and how much I get or something like that. Maybe for new users you could highlight some of your affiliated retialers here to get them going.

Browsing around, I'm finding some really tiny font sizes here. Specifically the links on your directory pages. Keep font sizes large enough to be read comforably - probably close to the default size.

Thank you for the comments Megan. I fixed the password thing, and I will place the confirmation text onto the templates. Im also working on everything else you mentioned.

Thanks

The thing that bugs me most about logging in to any site, is when I forget my user name or password and there is not an option or link for a user name/password retrieval. I can tell that you spent some time on the site and it basically looks good.

i agreee with megan, you need a logo really bad!! And I might also increase the size of the paragraph text on the front page just a hair, it is a bit hard to read, kinda small. But overall a nice site. The only other thing I might try to do is try and add some sort of "POP" to the page without ruining its smoothness because it is nice and easy, which is good, but the main page just needs something extra. A nice logo which offers class and Style might do the trick.

War Cheers!

Just a suggestion... you have an explaination of what your watch does on the main page. Why not have a few images with save 20%, or get rebate for this type thing. Much like an online store. You can always put a link to a "How it Works" section.

I just feel there is a way to make it intuitive, in this day and age of not reading instructions... a picture or icon says it all.
