Ohio Cycling site.
I have been trying to create "Central Ohio's Online cycling community" .
The site has been under constant development for about a year. But all that does not matter.
I would like to have others openion on all aspect of the site. (design, information archatecture and thing like that) The goal is to have a site that does a good job and looks good.
All comments are welcome....
Thank you.

Interesting Logo - took me a while to make out all the letters though.. It would be nice if you could make it more into a word, rather than more into a bike.
The links on the left a too big - this is proven by 'current events'.
I notice you don't have much in the right side on most of the pages - thus, do you really need it?
Not too bad, keep working though

First thing is that at 800*600 you get a horizontal scroll bar because your images/table is 800 wide. This automatically spoils the site when viewed on smaller screens.
The logo is very nice but you can't make out what it is supposed to say but I don't know if this matters.
The navigation is too big in my opinion and I agree with m0dulus that the blue strip down the right is a bit redundant unless you have plans for more content there and as it isn't the same width of the left one it does have a tendency to look wonky and unbalanced.
The poll, why put "Don't care"? If you want people to be serious about something like that don't give them the option to cop out!
The tracking thing you have used anyone can view your stats! Although it made me laugh though when you click on the logo & view the stats that it says "eXTReMe in-depth tracking for your ENTIRE site! Private Stats"

Nice work. You need to shrink a few things down though. The links on the left are massive! Your logo's a bit big too. The word thing escaped me at first. I really had to look for it. I think it would look better if it was words made to look like a bike instead of a bike made to look like words, if you catch my drift.
I've got the same problem with my counter. I used to use thecounter.com but they don't do one that doesn't display the number of visitors now.

I think that I agree about the top being a bit to big. I will fix that soon.
The LOGO is going to stay the hard to read style though. I like the way that it sneaks up on you. Thats just what I like though. Most people who look at the site and bother to mention it say that they like it as well. Maybe that will be one of the next polls....
I never thought that the table would be to big for 800 X 600. I overlooked the obvious.
What size should I make the table if I want it to fit?
Thank you for all of the helpfull comments.
It is great to get some good feedback.

I like'd the logo... Maybe cos I read that it was meant to be a word I saw bike ohio (that is what it says right ) The only letter that is hard is the 'h'...

It looks better, I still don't know about some of the colors
your tables on the left need something else to them, like a title cell at the top and a boarder or something around the search this site and the join our news letter. but othere than that its not bad at all.

I think it looks great. I'm from Ohio, so I can apreciate biking here, even though most days are not sunny enough .
I couldn't make out what the logo says, but it looks cool. The rest of the layout is really great.
I noticed that you have no 'meta' description or keyword tags. These are important because 35% of search engines currently utilize meta tags, even if only to display the description. Would you want Altavista to display "Good afternoon for a bike ride? Our main goal is to take an active..." as your description, or "Whether you are a casual rider, a commuter, or a weekend warrior, you'll find our site helpful because our main goal is to take an active role in making central Ohio more bicycle friendly." If you added something like that in your meta description tag, that's how it would read on AV (might be shortened)
Then again, maybe you want to get traffic from word of mouth.
Great site!
Regards, Brian

The onMouseover link colour changes aren't too nice, the green/red clashes with the dark grey and dark blue on the poll, also as others have said i had to look at the title in the browser to try and figure out what the logo read.
Nice layout overall though, just the colour schemes mark it down for me.
