Ok I changed and listened to all the good advise you guys gave me last time you reviewed my site a couple of months ago and think that after I have added the content this site's structure is ready to hit the web. Can you guys go through the site and tell me what you think? Thanks a lot people!

I found your page to be too dark. Black background with dark blue cells was just too dark.

The paragraph in the middle of the page explains what noggy does, but where does noggy do this?

The page layout is nice, but maybe moe some more of the 'color' above the fold.

Check your grammar.

Thanks Johnnyboy

Noggy is not finished yet. The template was discussed thoroughly with the webmasters here at the webmaster forums. I wanted it to be a dark layout to go easy on the eyes. It used to be really dark but I implemented the brighter blues to make it brighter and most of the people at TWF thought it was adequate enough. The points I have mentioned will be added shortly. My grammar has always been bad I speak many languages so it is easy for me to mess words up. I will try and get help on my wording for the final release. Thanks for the comments!

Anyone else got any comments?

Just been verified.

My Host are reporting Server problems! Typical!

Only thing I can suggest is keep trying in a while.

Thanks

I really like your logo, but I don't like how it just cuts off like that. You should either fade out the right side, or put an ad or something right next to it there.

Your text is too close to the edge of the table borders. Fix that.

I still don't like the Java Menu - why use Java when you can do the same thing with JavaScript? I know, I know, you spent a lot of time on it... the applet at the top of the page should go too. These things are just going to slow the page down for people with dial-up connections.

I think you're going to have to offer a lot more content, judging by what's on these menu headings. Also have some sort of explanation of why someone should become a member. I think people are getting really hesitant with all these membership things - a lot of people don't want to bother remembering another user name or password, and are worried about spam etc.

I also think that you really need to reogranize your headings and menu structure for this to be successful. Newbies aren't going to know that the "noggy support" is going to open up, and they will probably expect to find help with remembering passwords and stuff in there, not internet resources. I think you should create one main heading for Surfers (will everyone know what that means? Maybe not.) and one for Webmasters. Leave the surfer one open and not the "Noggy Services" one - that stuff isn't going to be too useful for most visitors. This needs to be more straightforward and accessable.

Interesting...

1) I agree that the logo looks cool, but it looks like a banner or button 'cause it just ends like that. Fade it out or something.

2) It took forever for the Java menu to load. I'm guessing because of the server. I'd just screw the Java menu and create maybe a dHTML menu or Javascript menu or something. Or even a plain HTML menu

3) You need some type of border around the whole site. Also- make some room between the two side menus and the main content area.

Hmmm- Java menu still hasn't loaded...

Ok Ok You twisted my arm. I was being really stubborn with the java menu because I liked it but yes it does take a while to load. I will look for a dhtml menu that looks good and loads fast.

Megan- You words are always wise so I would like some help maybe on suggesting what resources and content you or any other people might think would be suitable for the page. I intend on spending this weekend writing tutorials for the support section so that newbies can learn from the page.
I will not be able to update everyday as I have a full time job so self creating content is usefull.

I tried makeing a space in fron of the text in the about area but am having difficulties. Someone before suggested some css script but it made no sense to me. I thought the only way to do this would be to put a . at the beggining of each line and making them the same colour as the background but I am feared that search engines will kick me back for doing this.

Kidjustino: What do you mean put spaces between the right menu and the content?

The Java took about 5 seconds to load on a 56k modem but slows down whenever my host loose one of their servers.

I think there are a lot of free content providers, but I've never used one myself so I don't know too much about it. You can get free news tickers, polls, stuff like that.

I think it would be cool to have a short daily highlight on here - like Webmonkey's "Monkey Bites" (which they don't change every day). Maybe a cool site that you've come across, or a useful piece of software. You're going to have to have fresh content at least every week if you want to keep people coming back.

The useful software you've got on there is a good idea - Jeez, I can't get the page to download (at home today). It's stalling over the java menu and nothing is coming up. I'll try again tomorrow when I'm at work.
