Alright, before I start I'd just like to let you know that we'd appreciate it if you could give some others feedback on their sites as well. The existence of this forum depends on giving each other feedback.

What I'm really noticing about this site is that everything is sort of vague. It doesn't seem to have a defined purpose. There's a really odd mish-mash of stuff in here. I see in the statment you have up there that you want to provide people with everything they want but that's a very difficult thing to do. I would probably lean towards narrowing it down to one topic and a fairly well defined target audience (like entertainment for teens for example - that could be a good idea).

The design overall is also very vague and uninteresting. Boring boxy layout, boring colour scheme, boring logo... You've got some good ideas in here but I think you really need to narrow your focus. Unless you have *a lot* of time and money there's no way you'll be able to do everything as well as sites like Yahoo, Lycos and MSN can.

The site looks okay overall but there are some problems. I am assuming that the name is moron spelled backwards. So here is the good and the bad:

  • Logo and graphics - the Logo looks okay in a simple sort of way. I really didn't care much for the forums graphic. It was kind of out there.
  • Site Layout - The layout is tired. In other words it has been done so many different times by so many different people. You came up with some originality on the logo but then lost it on the layout. Also please learn how to pad cells to keep text from hanging on the edge.
  • Content - not much content there. Some pictures of girls, a ton of dated yo momma and redneck jokes and a few tunes. Once again you need to break out of the box with something that sets your site apart.
  • Coding and Compatibility - as mentioned before, pad your cells. I would also suggest using a stylesheet to get rid of the deprecated font and center tags. Certain other things used like bordercolor are IE only. You really don't need to use all of those tags either when a simple will do. Your site also does not show very well in NS 4.7. The logo creeps down into the navbar covering it. Just curious what you used to generate all that bulky code.

It's not bad but with a little cleanup, content and originality it can be much better.

Hi "new here" Laughing out loud

Most has been said alreay but a few more things are:

Navigation links, some are centered some are on the left, looks better all left (but pad the cells as mentioned)

the American flag is a .bmp, bmp's dont display in Netscape, plus they are big and bulky, use eitehr .jpg or .gif

the side sections stop about half way down, the center section carrys on, either shorten your content or display the content better.

Keep to one style of font, esp for content, headers could be bold, italic, larger but the same text

Your style sheets dont work to well in Opera6, looking at your code you have a body section (in coment tags) outside of the style sheet and your links need a "a" in front of the ":" (a:link, a:hover ...), but then you use different ones (rgb colors) in your body tag (i'd hate to be a browser Smiling )

the layout doesnt work well in NS4.7 as mentioned, i see your "best viewed with" message thats half way down the page on the left in small letters,
your site hasnt got anything that cant be displayed in vers4 browsers so you have no excuse as to using that "best viewed with ver5 and up" stuff

I see your site was only released yesterday, but you have a lot of dead links, things like "[INSERT LINK]", and "Contact us | About us" which i am guessing should be links, but are only text. some pages (like company info link) work only from some pages. and the bottom link "top of page" doesnt work, you forgot to add the "top" to the link Smiling

Wow, there is a ton of content on that first page. I didn't even get past it, I just closed the browser as my eyes started to hurt. I would suggest not having so much on that initial page. Make it more streamlined, less content and more links to internal pages.

And the white banner on the top is very white. Maybe you should go with ivory and a paler blue? It just stands out a bit harsh or something.
