Ok, here's the site i have been working on lately.

cakebooks.com

It is for someone else and a business site.
We have tested this on IE5 & NN4.7 in all resolutions on 15" and 17" PC's.

I would appreciate your views. Wink
I would like to know display issues ON A MAC and other browsers & resolutions.
I am also looking for navigational issues..do you get lost? Is it clear?
These kinds of things. Smiling

The client is perfectly happy with the web set (which was purchased as i am extremely graphically challenged! )

I intend to clean up the css and link to it.
And there are some book cover images that need to be inserted yet..some little things..
like all the book cover ALT tags. Roll eyes

thanks for your time,
dragonsjaw

Simple, nice and clean. Navigation is clear and the flow through of info is done well.

Have to say though, seeing as this is a bought set, the design is quite dull. I might be wrong, but there are quite a few things that could be done to jazz the site up.

Most importantly I would get rid of the Comic Sans MS text in the top right and lower text based navigation. I see comic sans on a site (especially a business site) and I want to leave.... might just be me!
Also, not to sure of the Yellow and Pinkish/orange hovers over text links. Do you need to link to the graphic sweatshops down the bottom? It certainly doesn't add to the site..

Tested fine on ie5 and NN 4.08. 1024 * 768 - it was huge...

Overall it is quite good however, you are not left with a really professional and business-like feel. If the clients are set in stone on the design then ignore this, but I would even put it up for review in layout and design forum to see what other people think can be done.

--yes it is, on purpose, and it was purchased, but cheap..
It served my clients needs and she is happy...that's the goal, no?

--Well she asked for It!- i think i can change it out at sometime and she'll be happy... Wink

Yes i may change the link colors, we did want something unusual.
Are you referring to the linking buttons on the lower left side bar??
If so, yes, i do have to have them on every page..as a link back, i put them as low as i could!!

This is exactly what the client wanted....a homey feel to her business page. If you ever went to her competitions pages, or to the homepages you would see that this site is by far more 'professional' looking than any out there!!(in the cake decorating world!!---ie: not graphic designer websites!!)

And thank you for the 'quite good' comments Smiling
I will move it up to design for imput too..
