What's with that "global sites" text on the right side of the splash page? It's skewing the graphic (so it's off center). Oh, I see - at 1024 x 768 that "global sites" text is off to the right of the graphic instead of below it like it is at 8x6. The main graphic looks great, but I would re-work the USA and Canada links to blend in a little better. Maybe use black for the links and make the text a little smaller. I loved the opening animation - cool, short, and not annoying at all.

On the inside, I'm really liking the design. It's simple and effective, yet very unique and different. I like sites like this a lot.

The text on your Place an Ad, Edit an Ad etc. buttons should be a little more clear - it's just a tad bit hard to read. I also think that those three boxes- welcome, sellers, and buyers, should be either all the same width or very different - so you should probably make the welcome box a little bit narrower to show more contrast.

I really like your colour scheme - I tend to find that it's difficult to use more than 2 or 3 colours together - especially if those colours wouldn't be an obvious choice. You've done a really great job with that. The only thing I would do is try to introduce a little blue on the left navigation maybe.

Now, about the way things are organized. When I went into the showroom, I chose "cars" and now I'm being asked to choose my location. I'm wondering if it would be more convenient to choose a more specific location earlier on. Like maybe on the splash page you could have a drop down beside each country name for the states/provinces. I mean, realistically I'm not going to buy a car from another province. Hmmm... something to think about.

Anyway, I really like this site. The design is cool and funky without being unsable (wow, two in one day! Must be a record!). I find the logo to be very effective as well.

Thanks Megan,

You've made some great points that I will certainly consider.

Well, I recently purchased a used car. So I decided to check out your listings for Los Angeles. There were all of 2, and one of them was actually a "demo" ad for San Diego? Only *one* car for a city the size of L.A.? You will need to seriously get more people to list cars before your site can be considered viable.

And as for car features, I think you should ad the color of the car, since not everyone has included a photo.

Work on your page titles. If I bookmarked your site, my bookmark would read "selling a used car" not "motoseller". Also, your page titles are so long, they're indistinguishable in my NS "go" list if I want back up a bit.

Overall, though, I think the design looks pretty solid. Loads fast at 33.6, too.

Thanks Jerome,

The site is only 8 days old and we do have a marketing strategy to roll out over the next few weeks that will hopefully drive more traffic.

Good point about the color...

Thanks again,

I really like this site too. Very good use of colours and it's very easy to navigate. I don't normally like stripey backgrounds but this does work very well with this site.

I don't live in the US so I can't really comment on whether it is going to be used for selling across different provinces or not.

Good work Laughing out loud

I really like the overal design, but the color scheme just doesn't pack enough punch for me.

If it were me, i'd ditch the blue background graphic and have either a p;lain grey, darker han what you've used, it a stripey grey - also darker. The light blue doesn't tie in with the rest, even though you have that light blue as link thingies.

Also, the grey in the tables on the front page should be a tad darker i think.

You need more dark blue on the sub-pages! It's a great color but there's only that little tiny it on the sub-pages. The screen is a little overwhelmned with orange and yellow. Maybe have the company links blue.. or the background for the nave bar blue.. Although having the nav bar bg and text area bg the same is very clean and nice-looking

I love the logo, it's very cute.
