A new look for E-Tips?
Hi, everybody. I finally decided to give E-Tips a new look, and wanted to know what you think. Keep in mind that this is ONLY THE UI, and not under any circumstances in working order . I am thinking of adding DHTML or Flash menu's to make the left sidebar expand and contract. In any event, I'd like your feedback, positive and negative, about the new designs, and if you like it better than the current one www.etips.net . Ok, the designs are:
1. http://www.etips.net/newsite/
2. http://www.etips.net/newsite/index2.html
Plese tell me which one you think is better, and any suggestions. Thanks a lot!

Hey Brian,
I like the page at http://www.etips.net/newsite/
out of all of them, very neat and tidy and has more of a flowing look to it. The only thing I would think about doing was making your logo in the top left a little smaller, I think it needs just a little bit more clearance around the bottom right corner and the edge of the blue.
I like the first entry in the "Whats Hot" column to. hehe

I agree with Ian - the first new site design you listed is best in my opinion. It seems more professional and as Ian said, has a more flowing look to it. Very nice.

Sure, I think I can spare a million or so between friends. I'll give it to you as soon as billy hands over the money .
I like the first one too... And I think I will make the logo smaller (thanks Ian)- the only thing I'm concerned about is the load time.. I've been getting complaints that it takes forever to load, and I think I'm probably going to end up losing visitors if that's the case. SO, does anybody here have Adobe ImageReady? You know, the software that can make the images a lot smaller in size while retaining the quality? I would use photoshop, but ImageReady seems like it gives much better results. If anybody here DOES have image ready, would you mind making some of the images smaller? You would be rewarded in advertisements . Anyway, if anybody can help with this please email me at [email protected].
