I was wondering if you guys could help me with this layout.

1. Does it have too much whitespace?
2. Is it too boring for your tastes?
3. Any suggestions on improvement?

Thanks in advance

The layout is at http://dlo.net/test/template.php

Okay, you really need to find a new color for the polls heading. It's very hard on the eyes and I had to squint to read it. Change it to another color you have on the site.

The white space isn't bad, it gives the site a smoother layout and makes it easier to read. Also it helps make the site a little softer, in a good way.

Give your site a heading, or maybe even a little introduction, it took me a while to figure out what the site was even offering. You need to make that clear right away. I'm still unsure what the intentions of the site is.

You need to make alternate links to the Java ones in the table. When you submit your site to search engines the spiders won't be able to crawl the java links. Also, 23% of net users aren't js enabled so you might want to give them some navigation as well.

Just tryin to help..

I think you need to simplify your color scheme by getting rid of the green. Lighten the site up with design elements (images, photos, etc) rather then confusing colors.

I don't know what you are talking about, there is no green on the new layout. You must have went to some of the old pages. Keep in mind the new layout is only on that one page now.

The menu is not Java, it is javascript. And the menu is viewable without javascript, it just doesn't have any of the pretty effects.

Well if you didn't intend for there to be any green on the site you must be using an unsafe internet color which our screens cannot display because our color settings are not set as high as yours are...yes the green is located just on the start page. In the polls heading "What would you like in your Easter Baske" By the way, make sure you spell check thoroughly.

Javascript cannot be viewed by spiders. You need secondary HTML links.

Will a spider consider that an html link?

I tried to post the whole javascript peice of the code, but the forum started spazing out when I went to view it.

The green is using the "lime" color, which is #00FF00. It should appear as a light/bright green.

Yes, it should. Spiders should be able to locate all A tags.
