This is a realloy nice fancy looking layout. You've done an excellent job with the layout BUT it took almost two minutes to load on a 56K. If you're cofident that almost all of your users are on high speed this might be okay. I have no idea how you'd go about finding that out though. You might want to consider ways of cutting down on the number of images or try to compress them a little more.

What's with the blinking text? I can't keep my eyes on it long enough before it disappears to even read it!

Really good, but really slow!!!!
And also, some of the times new roman near the bottom looks a bit naf.
but overall, a very good design.
some of these game sites have very good layouts and sometimes it is hard to compete

That text, under "Newest CheatS". The whole block is blinking. I'm viewing it in Firefox on Linux.

You sure know how to handle Photoshop
IMHO you did a great job in making all the images in Photoshop, I think this would be a great design for a magazine, but for a website I think this is not good.
The main layout is ok, but within each box the content is quite messy, with different fonts, colors and sub-layouts. The page does not invite one to click something, in other words: it doesn't stimulate interaction.
Besides that, I have some minor points:
1. In FireFox, the part that says 'spiderx.servegames.com' is hardly readable. The right part is also positioned lower than the rest of that blue bar.
2. Your page is not Html 4 Transitional.
3. It's slow (and I'm on DSL).
4. The screenshot-button differs from the rest
5. The blinking text () Abhi mentioned, comes out of the box.
6. It's quite difficult to read the sentence 'Enter our Contest and win any Game of your Choice from Amazon.com' because of the white text on a light grey background.
7. I thought I could do something with the red and the blue buttons in the main image, but apparently they're not buttons. What are they for?
8. 'Best viewed in 1024x768' doesn't make any sense. It (probably) only means that 800x600 users get a scrollbar. I'm on 1440x900, is that a less view experience than 1024x768?
So, although you show lots of skills in PS, I can't get excited with this design.
Hope this post helps though

GJ with PS, your skills are impressive.
However, the code on your swebsite is in bad shape, it looks like its tables and thats not good
- Use CSS for layout and XHTML for displaying the info
- It took forever to load and im on 7mps broadband
- The tables make it load very funny.. and bad....
- GREAT PS skills

Thank you everyone I appreciate the feedback.
I was never very good at coding so I can see that the layout is messy, but with some tutorials I should be able to clean it up:)

Nice job. 2 things: blinking text is not OK. and the images load slow (I have the same problem though ). You could optimize them a bit so that they become smaller (in Kb) and still quality images.
Anyway ... very nice

Can any of you recommend a good tutorial on how to convert my page into CSS for layout and XHTML for displaying the info?
Seems a little tricky:)

I like the look, overall. As an occasional peruser of gaming sites, the look really fits in well with those.
I would suggest some image compression for the images, however. I don't think there's any need to get rid of all of them (or maybe even any of them), but compression would help tons. I am on high-speed internet, and it still took around 10 seconds or so to load.
The "Newest Cheats" text is blinking in Firefox, but not in Internet Explorer. Which means that if IE becomes more compliant, it will probably blink there as well. Plus, the gamer crowd is one that's more likely to use Firefox than some others.

I experienced a very long loading time while using DSL. Though the images look nice, it seems to be used too excessively in the layout.
Typically, I expect a gaming site to have one main area where the newest/top story is posted and it took me a good while to find out where that exactly was. Also, I feel the bottom half of the page lacks real content and to me, it makes me raise a brow of the validity of the site and it's content. More ads than content usually is not a good idea IMO.
What I think would improve the site is a better sense of organization. When I first looked at the page, I believed the main story was about Halo when it was just the banner. Perhaps more section, with less text, and more appropriate images would do the job (I think most of the images are spent on the actual layout of the site rather than images that match your content).
Just some thoughts, good luck with your site.

This might help you to check your site loading times;

I always have a problem with putting to many pictures on sites.
The experts tell me that a slow loading site loses viewers and search placements.
