Hi guys. I redesigned the InfoStar site, and I wanted to get some feedback about what you thought of it...

Please give me any thoughts/suggestions.

Thanks!

I like it. I don't know what the last one was like but I do like this one Laughing out loud

I am in the process of trying to get my head around doing a flash online presentation for a headhunting company and they want some "funky" music to go along with it. Where is the best place to get "free" music that's suitable for use in flash??

I really do love the feel of your site!

The flash did take a little too long to load on my pokey old modem here. I also think that some of the text is going to slow (the "this is not true about web designers" part) and the part with flash, web design, javascript etc. is a little too fast. Also, the orange text on blue in the preloader was a little hard to read for me (although my colour calibration is a little off here).

The colour scheme doesn't seem quite right to me on this page. You've got that pale yellow in the logo, a more orangey-yellow in your headers and mouseovers, and the orange in the flash presentation. I would make them all the same colour. Actually, I would just get rid of the featured project and news on that page and just have the flash on there.

You should make the "click to continue" button have a hit state that is a solid rectangle - you can't click on it unless you get right on the text, so a rectangular hit state will make it easier to click.

Now that I'm inside you've introduced that teal colour, as well as a bunch of different colours for the mouseovers and page headers. Those would be fine if it wasn't for the teal.

Can I assume that something is going to be going into the grey bar at some point? Another thing is that graphic at the top - it's kind of shaped like a banner ad, so you might want to re-proportion that.

I see what's really bothering me about this site now. It looks very good at first glance, and the graphics are very well done, but the alignment isn't right. Look at the vertical lines the design is creating - there's one where the grey bar is, another one where the picture and page headers start, then another for the submenus (if there is one), then the left side of that banner image at the top, then the main text area, then the indented text. I would move things around a bit to make a stronger vertical alignment somehow.

A couple more things - the photo on the Portfolio page - what is that??? It looks kind of like a stage. Also, the submenus on the Portfolio and Services page are different - make them the same.

I hope this doesn't sound like I hate your site Smiling It's mostly just a lot of little things - overall it looks very good.

Hi Megan, don't worry, I can take it Smiling

Thanks for the detailed review. You had some really good suggestions that I'm going to take into account. I'll try making the site "line up" a little more, and see how that looks.

Oh, and on the "portfolio" page, that is supposed to be folders. Maybe they're not being shown clearly enough.

The Webmistress: There's a lot of music loops at http://www.were-here.com/ Good luck with your site!
