I like the colorscheme. Overall, the site looks professional. But I think I've seen lay-outs like that a thousand and one times before...

I like the general look of the site too. I think going with an intuative lay-out that people are familiar with is a good thing. You want people to feel comfortable immediately don't you?

Thanks for the feedback guys, as with all sites we're going to conitue to refine the design over time. Feedback so far has been very positive Smiling

I agree, ultra-tom (cool alias btw). But shouldn't sites have their own face/look and feel, in stead of only another colorscheme?

I know what you mean Jack. There are some nice touches like the colors and the 1x1 pixel dots used to make bullets.
It is still a tried and tested format and apart from the nice touches, it doesn't really have it's own strong unique design.

Still, I think it's a good effort. I guess they went for a compromise of funtionality over design.

I like the logo and the color scheme. You defiantly have the base for a great site. It just needs a little tweaking. Here are my comments:

a) The top header/logo has white space at the top and at the bottom. It would look much better without any space.

b) The color of the navigation bar doesn't match the rest of the color scheme. I'd consider making it the same orange as the logo or a completely different color (you've got plenty of orange).

c) The navigation links on the navigation bar needs to be improved. They are not very prominent or eye catching.

d) The links in the middle of the page need to be formatted better. On a larger resolution they get lost and spread out all over the center. Maybe consider images for each, bullets, or something!

Good luck with your site!
