OK, guys - heebie.co.uk is back. Just wondering what your thoughts were on the new site, and also if you give your thoughts on my latest project: "heebie language".

Thanks very much in advance.........

Hey, Heebie, could you please check the signature guidelines? Your sig is getting a little long. I'm finding that font to be hard to read but I won't tell you not to use it. I'd send you a PM about this but I'm feeling kinda lazy right now Smiling Mainly, make it shorter (4 lines max)

This looks much, much better than previous attempts. At least since the last one I looked at.

The language idea is interesting, and good idea to use a wiki. That wiki is awful looking though. I've been using media wiki for a new project and although there's a bit of a learning curve it comes with a nice skin and there are pre-made skins available too.

Megan, thanks for your comments. I think my signature is unobtrusive but I'll take a look at redesigning it. About the wiki - I installed mediawiki as it's the "one", but then I found out that my website's php4 and it requires php5. So, fuming, I looked fo another wiki and found that one. There are other skins available but I seem to be having some problems implementing them.

As usual, I'm finding promoting very hard indeed and the language thing making out on digg for about 30 seconds it then fizzled into nothingness.

Er - I like the design of the home page - nice and clean, nice images and colours. Then what happens? There are probably more different designs on this one site than all the sites on this forum!! I really really really think that if you want to hold together a bunch of micro sites you've got to have a coherent throughline otherwise people'll not see any link between them.

Pick your favorite - Your favorite not by commitee - and go for it!

Have you tried having a word with your hosting company and asked for the PHP to be upgraded? You can't be the only one - I'm sure they'd at least listen.

I know what you mean about consistent design, it's just that all of my different ventures are on different software, wikis CMS etc so it's difficult to maintain the same kind of design throughout.

I'll talk to my hosting company.....
