Neet-Thingz Underground
I just finished my website and would like to know what you fellow webmasters think. I'm not a professional, so don't expect anything fancy. I only have about 2 months experience but once I had a taste of it I couldn't stop. I am having the time of my life trying to come up with ideas on new sites. This was just a lot of fun and I don't plan to make any money from it.
NTUnderground - The NT stands for "neat things" (I couldn't come up with a better title)
If you could also comment on the loading time.

Well, the flash titles above the nav links are cool. I would consider changing the link colors from that blue to something a little lighter. The blue on black background is kinda rough on the eyes. Have ever thought about using an image nav bar? It might make things a little more conducive.
Your frame focus page is too large for that frame. Not only do you have to scroll down but you also have to scroll over. THink about either making the frame larger or the content smaller.
For a beginner, it looks good =)

Hi, please take a look at the Policy and Procedure guidelines for this forum. I will edit your thread title accordingly.

One thing the font change whe the mouse is over a link seems weird i'm used to color change or even size change (when its moderatly used) but the second font doesn't look good
IF , ELSE , WHILE isn't that what life is all about

Cool looking; I like the flash and color scheme. Your site makes me want to explore it and come back when its done. I did get an error on 1 link:
http://www.ntunderground.com/link_to_us.html gets an error: SSI error: recursion exceeded.
Might want to put something jazzier in the contact link than that standard mail reply (kind of anti-climactic). Good work overall.

Thank you all for replying. I'm sorry I had not replied sooner. Your feedback and constructive criticism have made me a wiser man. Seeker, I'm exceptionally glad to hear that my site actually made someone want to explore it some more. The blue links on a black background is something I had intended on. I was hoping you all would understand that I wanted you to hover the pointer over the link to make it glow. (Sorry 'bout that, mjs416) This was just an experiment at first, but webpage design (it appears) is something I would like to persue. ii I'm hooked !!

I like the cross-hairs, ties in to the video game theme. The black/blue color scheme is very underground looking. Bright green mouseover text makes you want to explore... it's like opening lots of little boxes...

i'm glad you liked it, mm. i've been doing some revising since i posted the original thread (thanx to your comments, of coarse). i used to have a flash animation loading within the iframe. that took forever on dial-up, but you probably already know that. i replaced that with another page i created (thank you mjs). again, i couldn't come up with anything better, so i just made a list of the top ranking mg sites on google. :s maybe later i will just showcase fan art or something. hope u like it. thanx again for your comments.
by the way, i love reviewing other people's sites. it helps me get ideas for helpful changes on mine.

you have two title tags, one of which is outside of the tag, your stylesheet tag is also outside
don't put tags inside your CSS file
use everyday fonts, or list font familys as I doubt many people have '911 Porscha' font (I have over 800 fonts and I dont have it)
your cursor tag needs fixing, it's cursor:c:\\windows\cursors\cross_im.cur; (sadly the internet doesn't have a C drive, nor windows folder)
you have your scrollbar in your CSS file but not asigned to anything
you also need to fix you td, input values in your CSS file as 'value' isn't a valued attribute, nor are thing is square brackets
.body should be 'body' (no quotes) it doesnt need to be assigned as a class
It's also not wise to use .bmp for images, use .jpg, .gif or .png (dont forget your alt tags)
are NOT HTML comment tags, a HTML comment tag is with no other dashes inbetween
having a mp3 as background sound can be annoying (and slow loading) if you have sound use the console and offer a way to turn it off.
I notice you are linking to a few outside web pages (other sites pages), make sure you have permission to do this first and having a sound play on mouseover can get real annoying
the no right click script (which doesn't work) should be in the head section with the other javascripts.
a lot of the above are making your page display weird, fix them and it should be ok

Wow! Anything else, Busy? Just kidding.
I know this is going to be very lengthy, but please read.
I know I have A LOT of mistakes on my code. But thank you for pointing them out. I would have never gotten around to fixing them because since I have all of the files stored on my harddrive the page was displaying ok to me. I understand now what you meant about the mistakes on my css file. (Boy do I feel ten inches tall)
As far as using .bmp's for images I didn't mind using them in this case because they were very small in size. I used jpg's or gif's for everything else. I know
thatmuch. The comment lines I made that way to help myself through the learning process, so it kind of stuck. I still have trouble finding my way around sometimes.
I noticed that the mp3 file was the last to load so I figured they could just hit the stop button on their browsers, but I'm assuming people are smart enought to realize that they can do that. Nice call on that one. I'll just include that option in my main text. "Click stop on the browser to stop the music".
And last but not least...the right click disable java script...oops. I left that in there by mistake. I was just playing around with different java scripts to see how they would look on my site. After a while I realized that I was overdoing it.
As far as everything else, I'll just have to tackle them as they come up.
One other thing though...I still can't get the fading script to work. It was working fine when I was editing it on my PC. Affiliate images are supposed to display at the top where it says "featured". I did notice that the code did not display when I would right click and view source code. Do you know what I am doing wrong?
I know this was very lengthy, but I think it was necessary. Thanks again, all of you, for your valuable input.

re fading and affliate code, at a guess (and not looking at the code again) I'd say one or two of your javascripts are affecting one another, make sure no two scripts have the same variable names and function names, can't remember if javascript is case sensitive or not be be safe and besure all are exact case.
.bmp wont display on all browsers
The only way to learn is to try things, so since your getting yourself out of bad habits should think about validating your work as you go, it can help in so many ways , example using a comment tag like

Your site looks definitively good and i like the color scheme.
You should change the bg image or the font color for the "about" section. Text is a bit hard to read.
*gees .. i should have read the other posts before posting my comment ... sorry*
