The need for speed - any ideas?
Jaiem,
Snagged one of your graphics (banana clouser240) and ran it through Ulead Web Razor. Just by playing with the different compression options etc. was able to shave the size from 6k to 4k without a lot of loss of quality. Maybe a little, but not much.
This might be an easy way to help your "need for speed"

Is that tool online or a package?
If online, what's the url?
Thanks again.

Hello.
I'd like some thoughts on how I can improve the loading time/speed of my web site http://ArtsNFlies.com
In particular, I want to impove the speed of the catalog items pages. I know these pages are graphics intensive but I feel they need to be such in order to properly display and promote my items. NTL I've visited other sites that are also graphics intensive and they seem to load faster.
Any advise would be greatly appeciated! My email address is [email protected]
ps- The site is built with FP98 so I do have some limitations to work with (I'm working on converting out of FP but it won't be any time soon). Thanks again!

I didn't like how the page is soo long. The navigation bar is at the top and makes them scroll there to get it. It makes them scrool way too many times.

Jaiem,
Take it you got the email with the two graphics in it.
I have an old version, but the web address is: http://www.ulead.com/wrp/features.htm
It's part of a graphics package and the whole package sells for $89. they do have a trial d/l though.
Might be other software out there for cheaper, just that i have that one.
