1) The logo is ok, but it needs more spice. The font is good, but maybe it's missing like a symbol or something? Also- don't connect it with the bar that is under it.
2) The tabs are cool, but the edges are a little jagged. Turn anti-aliasing on.
3) Oh yeah, center the page.
4) The main page is really unorganized. First, make the text of each headline a little bigger. Second, and a bullet of some sort next to each headline. Finally, well, uh, nevermind.
5) The menu works good. But: 1) add bullets, 2) give it some room between the side borders.
6) Make a border around the whole page, not just the menu part.

Hey,
It looks pretty good..Maybe do something with the following:
1)Logo need some work like justin said
2)I personally dont like the top tabs or links. I dont think they go with the page.
3)All the links in the middle just looks like text. I didnt know i was suppose to click on any of them. It just looks like a bunch of stuff to read, not visit.
Thats about it

The main things that stand out at a cursory glance is that the cells need padding as the text bumps into the edges, and the text is too small. On Mac and Linux systems, you are in danger of having be completely illegible (just a series of dots). It is also hard to read pages of micro text for us folks with 15" monitors, even at 800X600. I cruise at 1024X768 regularly and it's just brutal at that resolution.
Given that your site is text-based, this is a serious concern.

Thanks for the comments.
I will look into changing around the font sizes and also create a new logo.
Thanks again

Ok, I added some code in so that if the user was on a Macintosh, or using linux it will increase the font a little.
I did another logo, does that look any better or worse?
I changed it so it underlines all the link, to make it easier to tell if the text is a link or not.

Its a clean design but maybe you could add some more spice to it by adding a few pics.

Don't change anything on it! It looks great! The only thing I can suggest is that blue line under the logo should stretch, so it is equal with the white part.

I don't like the tabs either. If you're going to use them they should start at the left and/or extend all the way across the top there.
Your font size is definitely a problem. Those headlines are really, really hard to read. Maybe if you just picked a couple of the most interesting items from each site, and put them in a bigger font. A line-height increase using CSS would help too (dunno how well supported this one is). As someone else mentioned, this is going to be totally unreadable on a Mac or linux machine.
Now, just to clarify the purpose of this site - you're just basically a start page, offering news items of interest to techie types? It would be nice if you could add some of your own content. That would be more likely to keep people on your site (especially since your news links are opening in the same window). One thing that I would find really helpful is brief reviews of all those downloads you've got listed there. Recommended software... things like that. Site of the day... Kind of like the little things Webmonkey has every day, that would be cool.

I kinda like the tabs the way they are but everyone has there own opinions.
What resolution are you in Megan? I am in 1024 * 768 and the headlines are easily readable. For Mac and Linux, as I had said I added some code in so that if the user on a Mac or on Linux, than the font would be increased a little. I asked a few people who were using either a Mac or Linux and they said the font was fine. A friend sugested to put bullets in for each headlene, I will see if that makes it any clearer.
As for content, it is hard to pick just the interesting articles because the script I have gets the headlines automatically. I will have it set up to update every hour or two (it isn't yet) so it will be nearly impossible to filter out the 'boring' looking articles.
As for content, yes the site will basically get headlines from assorted techie news types with the idea that people will not need to go to 5 different sites to find interesting news articles.
I will look into adding some more content on the side menu, Link of the day sounds like a good idea, and maybe like "OS Tips/Tricks" or somthing.
Thank you for all the comments everyone.

It loooks great now. Heres some more suggestions though:
The tabs are a good idea, but maybe make them smaller in height and wider, so they fill up the whole space under your logo.
Also the line in your logo extending from the W should extend all the way across unless your planning to put something next to the logo.
