My webmaster resource - any ideas?
Hi all,
I just joined this forum the other day and this actually is my second post. Anyway, I started up a webmaster resource site a few months back and I was wondering if any of you could tell me what you think? Or maybe we could trade links or nothing?
On it I have several articles written by myself and others, my own weekly newsletter which features fresh, never before seen articles, great resources and descriptions, awesome cgi programs, books, and so much more. I also have a resource directory which is still building steadily, a few webmaster tools, a contest, and much more is on the way. I also am giving away 1000 free banner impressions to one of my newsletters subscribers every week.
If you would like to check it out and drop me a line, please do. Just visit http://www.webmasters-pub.com
Thanks a lot!

I am having a weird feeling of Deja Vu - I'm sure that I have reviewed this website (a different design though).
Anyway...
- there is too much space between the banner and the content.
- the top of the logo is not flush with the green tale cells.
- I would improve the navigation bar as well.
Apart from that a very nice laid out site. Well done!

Thanks JP,
I've had a couple people tell me I need to improve my nav bar but I'm not quite sure what to change. Any ideas would be much appreciated. I did change it a few weeks back but it still isn't doing the trick.
Thanks again,

Dear Ryan,
Good website, to improve the nav bar maybe make an interface to go with the logo you got or maybe some buttons... i think that would do it fine.

I've thought about interfaces and buttons, but with what I'm trying to achieve the interface or buttons would be extremely lengthy. I'm also worried about this dragging down the load time, which is one of my biggest peeves. Resource sites don't often use a lot of graphics because this isn't what the visitors are looking for, and actually it's not what I'm looking for.
Unlike many people, I don't really like big flashy sites and things. With my site I would like to optimize navigation without hurting load time and actually I would like to stick with text.
Thanks a lot, I appreciate your time and efforts greatly. If you have any other ideas please throw them my way.

Hi Ryan,
I would widen your columns and left justify all of them. Narrow down the greens to two.
take care,
Carolyn
