I created everything at my site, I work on it daily and am always making improvements and tweaking. I like where its at, but I think I've hit a little bit of a wall creatively and would greatly appreciate some input from another designer/developer as to how I can make my site better in terms of content development, layout, etc.
All responses appreciated.
Thanks

Hey Its Cool! Anyway Drop the popups... I'll guess the layout is quite appropriate for your niche, the colors and everything are in-synch... Just make it a less "hectic" looking...
Coz when I stay at your site a little longer I want to wrestle people...

Nice site, i think you should have an accent colour, something like blue or green or maybe yellow. I would like to see a bit more of an interesting logo. Something catchy. Also maybe the pictures would be better as thumbnails rather than a list of anchor links. Intice the viewer to look at the pictures not search for them.
Good luck.

Definately a well put together site. Content works well and views well in both firefox and IE. However, there's like a 3 mile margin at the bottom of the page when viewed in firefox and the ads took a while to load.
I agree with the ridding of the popups. They only serve to annoy. A couple of technical faults . . . you're using some very antiquated (and deprecated) tags such as "center". Instead use CSS to center blocks:
or better still add some styles to your external style sheet.
Your page also has no doctype declaration. There's some similar code mistakes in there that could use your attention too.
The rounding off of the header (top right) looks a little unecessary . . . just have keep to a square corner to give the site an altogether more uniform look and you'll have it down!
Good luck!

the site is slow to load and very jumpy with big gaps under and around your content.
You need to validate your code (which will improve loading and display) as your code is a real mess.
The red links are a little hard on the eyes and I think you need to introduce another colour for links as the black ones are confusing, some black text are links, others arent

Thank you all for your comments so far .. My coding is definitely an area that needs an overhaul.
I'm looking to work with a developer to help me get organized and bring some of the ideas I have to life. I want to concentrate on ease of use and content utilization.
Anybody interested?

I like the old one better, maybe merge the header design for both templates...

Hi.
I have to say, I wasn't overkeen on the site.
Firstly, get rid of the pop-ups. They make your site look cheap in my opinion. And somehw they bypassed my IE pop-up blocker (which normally stops nearly every pop-up I encounter!). They detract from what you're trying to promote. As a rule of thumb, if I get a sit which shoves a pop-up as soon as I enter a site, I tend to close it down. Nothing wrong with banner ads, but pop-up's a no-no (do you get the impression I don't like them!!). On the topic of banner ads - you do seem to have quite a few... I am guessing you're after commision paid click-throughs! I have some on my site, but I try to theme them in with the area of the site the user is looking at. For example, in my computer section, there are a few select banners for computer related stores/services. Maybe you might want to consider this?
Next, red text on a grey background. Made it very hard to read on an LCD screen. Not so easy on the eyes.
Other than that, content is good... lots of it.

Popups suck but when you make a few hundred dollars a month off them, you learn to look away a bit. I do have a few banner ads, but I believe they're placed very well - not too intrusive and not interrupting content.
The red on gray is a concern of mine and will be tweaked in the future.
Any other thoughts?
