Okay, I've redesigned my site http://www.101h.com/tyler/ Basically I added a typing effect at the front, made images to half-resemble a screen or monitor of some sort, and added navigation buttons at the top as well. Please tell me what you think.

Hmmm, I still stand by what I said before, don't center text & make the email text links!

What do you mean by 'don't make the email text links?'

Is this supposed to be just a personal site or are you trying to sell yourself as a webmaster, since that's in your page title?

If it's a personal site, then ignore what I'm about to say.

The main page seems to say, "I'm doing cutesy stuff just because I can." The applet takes a while to load and to me it serves no purpose.

Not all of the number pad keys worked, and the ones that did all took me to the same page. This is true mystery meat navigation.

The next page, profile.html, has unnecessary vertical scroll, which could be eliminated by tightening up some wasted space.

On the portfolio page, I'd consider making the outside links open in a new window so visitors don't get lost and not find their way back. I kept getting pop-up exit ads visiting your sites, some of which just kept spawning, and that was pretty annoying. One was a "sticky" that required that I quit Netscape to get it to go away. It apparently caused a periodic refresh to pop up another ad. Ugh!

The applet not only loads slow, but types to slow too.

Think about your intro page again. It is clever and kind of fun. But things are only clever and fun the first thing. The second time it is slightly annoying, the third time it is hated, the fourth time ... well maybe their isn't a fourth time because the visitor is so annoyed. With that in mind, I would put a proceed or skip link at the bottom of your intro page of lose it altogether.

Yes, I hate it too.. I find making a personal site 100x more difficult than just making a site..
