Okay, here is my review.
There a several things that i find amiss with your page. The graphical layout being one of them. the home page is very plain, and even though it has a very clear statement that describes the purpose of the site, there are much better ways to present this type of site. your home banner looks aged and not up to speed with the rest of your wonderful graphics.
secondly is the organization of oyur avatars. putting them all in nice tables or a logical listing would be very beneficial to the showcasing element of this site. if it was better organized, i would be more inclined to remain and look around.
lastly, i have always been a huge enemy of all centered and broken text. there must be a better way to present the text, so it doesnt seem all mishapen and random.
other than that, your graphics and avatars are very nice, keep up the good work.
This is my site, It could use some reviews! Tell me how much I suck!

hey look
We really need to discuss your site
im sorry but it looks heavily dated, with a very busy background making the text hard to read
the animated GIF's you have used are extremley rough, making your site look harsh
Your banners arent thought out, especially your title banners, you can barley see the text
you do however, communicate a clear message about what your sites about. However, if you design banners for others, surley your website should be slick enough to make people want them in the first place.
Why not have a gallery section allowing thumbnail preview, and the ability to download watermarked samples
Stick to primary web colours and standard web fonts like the Arial family or Verdana
just a few thoughts

Mmmmmm! Now let me see.
Firstly, the background has to go. It really interferes with your graphics. Try a more subtle approach and use some tables. Lukeskywok looks amazingly like 'Foamy'.
Anyway, The layout needs work, your pages just look like everything has been plonked on it.
Some of your pages are quite long and could do with a 'top' button on. I did too much scrolling.
Overall, your site is a useful one, many webmasters are always looking for graphics and animations for their sites. Your gaming community flash intro is good. Just a bit of organisation wouldn't go amiss.

I've been playing around with the various graphics mentioned & agree; was late & planned to try something else later.
Yes that is Foamy, as I stated on some of my stuff I'll borrow art found throughout the net; Luke$kywok is a fellow
gammer that loves Foamy, so I took a still pic of Foamy & created that siggy for him to use on our Gaming forum.
mfdc, I'm not sure if I understand what you mean by "extremley rough, making your site look harsh"
If you mean eery, on the dark side, that's just the atmosphere of the mutant merc games I play; Q3A, Doom, Halo.....
As I stated they are my interpretation of fellow gammer user names; HellRazor, Maniac, Psycho... are the names they
chose not me, I just animated they're names
Anywho, thanks for the imput, I'll keep trying diff things untill I find something that works. So keep checking back!

I know I shouldn't but I do like it.
it's sort of retro web, harking back to the good old days and I like the graphics too,
I recently read an article on design centered around how ugly myspace pages are. The conclusion was that web design is rated on it's sucess not what it looks like, if your site is sucessful it is a good design - period.
myspace has 100 million members and adding about 2,500 new members per second, the pages look like the bedrooms they were created in but never the less, the popular ones are by definition Good design.
so concentrate on making your website sucessful.

It looks like it was made with frontpage - *checks, yep it was* frontpage gives this dated, boxy look.
The first page is really a splash page, splash pages are useless, but it's not really one - confused? sorry lol
Ok, the front page looks like it is a splash page so needs a bit of work to stop that impression. how? Well, move the links to the side, get rid of the animated banner at the bottom and even add a complete set of text links at the bottom *dont you think its weird having a link to the home page at the bottom when yor on the home page*
Your pages are not dial up friendly, break the pages down into more sections (and dont center the text)
Using a side navigation would enable you to tie the banner into the design more, show off your skills and make up design template for the site (easy on the graphics thou).

OK where do you begin with a critique of this 1980's style website? The idea of a webpage homepage is to draw you in. I am already on my way out. That flashing headline is way too intrusive, it even throbs through the Text Edit page I am typing on.
The text is very hard to read. From a color point of view, it's all wrong. The content is hard to fathom too, you need a copy writer, mate.
All this is quite unfortunate because working on the basis that content is king, your avatars and banners have a lot going for them. Jack in the Box makes me laugh, for the right reasons, for instance. But really, the homepage destroys any desire to look further. Sorry if that isn't long enough, but I hope you get the idea, it ain't great advertising for your skills.

geez, that is a massive generalisation...
Frontpage has it's issues and limitations and I won't pretend it's remotely perfect, but it does not make 'dated and boxy' looking sites any 'better or worse' than other programs.
I have seen many great looking frontpage sites, and many terrible ones.
One must remember that because almost everyone who has a PC has Frontpage, inherently more novice websites are going to be created using Frontpage...
A novice website (particuarly early attempts) are always going to look boxy and dated, whether it be front page or dreamweaver or notepad...
Stick with it. Go to sites such as coolhomepages.com and the like and absorb lots of different styles. You will see elements you like and dislike and develop your own preferences and style as you go. Give it a few years and a few rebuilds (even in FP) and it'll look great.

Just a quick reply to totally disagree with you, although this isn't the place (someone elses thread) to discuss this, if you like your welcome to open a thread and discuss this topic.
A novice website will look how it was designed and how the person learnt, Notepad and Dreamweaver wont look boxy as they come out how the person was taught or has learnt, apart from CSS there isn't very many boxy newbie tutorials out there. frontpage will always give that boxy look as they offer those outdated boxy templates.
