Hi. Your site looks pretty good overall. A couple of suggestions, though:
1. There is a lot of blank space to the right of the categories. Maybe make your category list 3 columns instead of two.
2. If you are going to end the subcategories with "..." at least delete that space so it doesn't look so separated.
3. Load time is ok, about 15 seconds total for me.
Other then that, the colors go together pretty well, and it looks pretty good.

Hi Polpus,
I like your "yahoo style" for lack of a better word navigation. Perfect for fast info grabbing. The page loaded almost instantly but I didn't "time" it. I think the consensus is to balance out the columns --- make three and fill up that empty space.
How about including the number of listings per category--you may have that already planned for later.
Last thing, I'm not sure it's necessary but your layout may be even "tighter" if you have the search feature closer to the menu? All within one frame shot of each other.
Take care,

Polpus,
Very nice looking site! The first thing that stuck out was all the white space to the right of the categories... Need to fix that one way or another.
On the point that Brian brought up about the "..." at the end of a category listing, I think you should leave it with the space... I am not sure why but I think it would look better because if you take that space out, it would give me the impression that it was a continuation of the last word in the sub-categories where having it there gives me the impression there are more sub-categories in that category (make sense?).
Download time was excellent! The entire site downloaded in about one second flat (on a 56k) but they banner did slow it down to about 3 seconds. I know you can't get rid of it but it does slow the download time a little.
I like Carolyn's idea about including the number of listings in each category. I also like your choice of colors
Well, that is it for now. Did I mention you have a very good looking site?
P.S. You might want to look into getting your own domain.

I will agree with point one. They all all to the left which annoys me.
The look is neat and effective.
