Well, site looks full and informative... Content is nice, layout is standard, loads fast, looks quite generic... But heres a little comment; I think the Site title on top is little too high... Why not use text instead of that pic... make it alittle thinner so that visitors wouldnt need to scroll down to see the main content or welcome content....

I think you need to stop it with the boxes and the borders already! I always cringe when I see layouts like this - it seems to be the impulse of a lot of new designers to put a box around anything. And then, since you can, colour the background and do funky things with the borders. Enough already! If you look at really well designed sites you'll see that the borders are rarely even noticeable. The layout also seems to be rather hastily slapped together, with multiple navigation bars and different types of content sort of strewn all over the place.

Are you pulling content from other sites? I'm just noticing the different names at the bottom of the reviews. If you are copying those from another site without permission you could get in big trouble.

To me its a little hard to look at - there is a lot going on on the screen. Also, you need to set up some templates for phpBB to get it to look like the rest of your website. The menu on the left is also too broken up by ads, which makes it hard to navigate. I'd say, work on building up a userbase before slapping a bunch of ads in there.

I like the color and the background. However, its very hard to navigate since the links are not grouped together. I don't like the header, its too big, something a little smaller in height would look better but that's just me Smiling.

This has a very dated look and feel, it seems like attack of the tables! I'm definately not a fan of dark colour schemes (unless there's a good reason for it), agree with mjgca on the header, it just doesn't integrate well, could be simpler with reduced height and greater width.

The whole thing seems very hectic and unclear, I really can't understand what's going on and an annoyingly liberal spattering of adverts do not help!

a Padded Cell our articles site!

I think; I would have to call this a scrap book design, or lick it and stick it. It looks like moving day with all the boxes, and it's really hard to tell whether it's moving in or out.

Very few table designs look good with the borders visible. Especially right at the top of the page. I also think I would do away with the add's, you see enough getting from one place to another on the net, let alone to have to endure more when you get there.

Do yourself a favor, and kill this before it grows up. Go back to the drawing board!! I use tables all the time, but there is also abuse of tables. This might make a case for CSS.

Your usage of a second language (profane) on the page, will not be very popular with the webbots either. And lets not even go there, about the 165 reasons the code dosen't validate.

Title graphic is too tall. Too many borders and different background images. The page just generally looks way too busy.

Looking at you web concept. You might want to use CMS like xoops or phpnukes. It looks pretty flat. If you use CMS, it will save you some time to update it.

I agree with Megan, I'm not a fan of those repeating boxes. The site has good content, but it gives off a geocities type feeling, maybe try jazzing up the top nav menu.

I couldn't agree more. Here's a quick fix for some degree of that problem, paste this in your style tag:

body {
color: #333333;
font-family: Trebuchet MS, Arial, Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif;
font-size: 11px;
}
a:link {
color: #990000;
text-decoration: none;
}
a:visited {
color: #990000;
text-decoration: none;
}
a:hover {
color: #DI8C8C;
text-decoration: underline;
}
a:active {
color: #DI8C8C;
text-decoration: underline;
}

I don't know how those .style## classes were created, but I pretty much suggest you get rid of them and begin stylesheeting again with a clean palette...

Oh, and it's "Genre".
