The most realistic typing test website

I tried this out, and I found it to be really disorienting when the lines of the text shifted while I was typing. I didn't expect that to happen, and would probably rather than it just stayed stationary. When I finished, the test said I had 77 uncorrected errors, which I think must be wrong. It would be nice if the test would show me my errors at some point. There could be an option to show errors while you're typing, and the ability to show errors after the test is complete. I would like to know where it thinks these 77 errors were!

The design of the site could use some work. It looks very dated. Try using a more subtle colour scheme, removing some of the borders around everything, centering the layout on the page, and using a different text treatment for the site title.

Good start for a typing test though. I agree with you about the problems with other test like this.

• Is the site attractive to you? Why/why not?
o Yes I think the menu and colour scheme is attractive. The fiverr add colour scheme doesn’t match well.
• Is it easy to use? Can you find what you're looking for?
o Yes I found it very easy to use. I liked the interface and actually really liked the measurement capabilities from a WPM and accuracy perspective.
• Do you understand what the site is about?
o Yes the domain and site is very understandable.
• If this site is offering a product or service, would you sign up or buy it?
o I would not buy the product, but yes I would definitely use the service
• If you were interested in this site's content, would you come back? Why/why not? If the site has a forum community, would you sign up and post? Why/why not?
o Yes I would come back to the site. No I would not sign up for a forum on this site since I would not want to get spammed!
• Is the content good? Do you understand what the text is saying? Do you notice any spelling/grammar mistakes?
o All of the content seems to be spelt correctly and the grammer is correct.
From a designer/developer's persepective
You may choose to comment on:
• colour scheme
o I like it. The fiverr ad doesn’t look very good though.
o I like the black outline on letters and the buttons
• common design principles (alignment, white space, visual organization etc.)
o I think the sponsored links should be on the right since they are cut off on my resolution.
• usability
o I would love for it to spit out a graph saying that I was in the top 6% of all the people who have done the 1 minute test.
• appropriateness of design & content
o I would suggest adding a name or linkedin profile to the about us page so we can know who you are!
• branding & marketing
o I suggest adding a logo
• graphics quality
o The graphics are acceptable. Not amazing, but acceptable.
• browser compatibility
o The app works great on IE11
• Resolution
o Acceptable on my laptop, but I would suggest making the site body text wider so it doesn’t get cut off.
• function of widgets/dhtml/forms, et cetera
o When I clicked on the one minute test and completed it, I had a try again button and a stop button. The stop button doesn’t work for me.

o Site loaded quickly
• use of technologies
o I really like how you have the facebook page and share icons. Where is the linkedin page?

Just our two cents. Try centering the main body of the home page for aesthetic purposes. Also tone down the color palette to a more modern theme. red and blue is fine but try adding some opacity or softer colors.

Very old school type of website, but traditional. Are you planning on using or occupying the right column, its empty.

I find that having the content all the way on the left makes the entire website hard to read.

The overall style is very old school, which is fine, but you might find people won't use your site because it looks like a scam.

The header image looks like it was made in Microsoft word.

Some pages have text that has been cut off.

I would highly suggest looking into some front-end frameworks to improve the aesthetic appeal of your website.

I tried to take one of the typing tests but having the site left centered made it very difficult to focus on what i was doing. The colors are also very jarring to the eyes when trying to focus on typing, the blue/red kind of clash.

The tests functioned well however, but the initial look of the website may drive some people away from it.

you need to work on the design i think at least go for the Web2.0 if you really wanna work and stay it the online market

I think that the site is functional, and I believe it can help people who need to improve their typing skills for a job. I tried the one minute typing test and noticed that there were a lot of grammatical errors in the text that had to be typed. Was that intentional?

I feel it the sames as Typing Master except for the results displayed. Nothing changed a bit.
