My only comment would be that when I visit your site I have no clue to what lcdirect is. You might consider reducing that in size and putting something that tells the visitor immediately what your site is about. I find if I don't understand a site in under 5 seconds then I'm gone...

Few errors in your code, well 99 on the home page......
However I love the design, especially the nice touches like the curled pages, and the logo, but you still need to clean up the code for accesability purposes!

I'll keep personal opinions and vandetas against gimmicky backgrounds to myself. The page is well organized, well thought out. You have to fix the errors, that's a must do for anyone. I recomend that you spend some serious time on that. Other than that your text is all resonably sized, your colors are fine. Everything is placed well, you hardly have to scroll. There are no annoying ads. I'd call it a success, congradulations. FIX YOUR ERRORS!

Overall this looks pretty good. The layout is well organized, the text is clear and easy to read, the graphics & navigation look nice. You'll want to categorize each section when things get busier but I think you've made the right decision for now - categorizing at this point would just emphasize the small selection.
One thing I have a problem with is some of the graphics. The page curl, for example. It is appropriate, and I like it where it's used in the main body, but not in the two sidebars. That's just too much. They are conflicting with each other. With techniques like this its best to be very conservative. Use them minimally!
I also think the logo coudl be improved. What's with the traffic cop ???? What's he got to do with e-books??? He looks rather stern. I feel like I'm in trouble for something. Best to replace him with something friendlier and more book related. Also do something with the logo text so it looks a little more interested. You could simply switch tio a slightly less common font and then re-colour parts of the word. So you might have LcDirect.com (or colour the LC, depending on what part you want to emphasize). Then put a tagline of some sort below that explains what the site offers.
The forum needs to be cusotmized to fit the look of the main site. Otherwise it looks good. A lot of people have the tendency to put in too many forums at first but this looks good. Could be quite successful.
On closer examination, I really like the way you've done the navigation. The main sections are on the left - large and prominent. The main navigation area isn't cluttered with things visitors don't care about - that's kept up out of the way on the top navbar. Very discreet - there if you need it, but out of the way when you don't.

The body text is nigh on unreadable on my 1240x1024 monitor - consider making it 12px.
