lol, well for one I would add a link to Netscape so you can test it in their browser.

??? What are you implying?
I tried my site on Netscape, but only the background show up. Is that the same problem that you have? I viewed the source of the page and found that the entire page have already been loaded.
Is there something wrong with my HTML?

Sorry for poking fun at you Jackchen, I answered your question in the HTML/JavaScript forum -- your code has errors that won't allow Netscape to render the table.
I gave you this link: www.htmlvalidator.com/lite and a bunch of other ones that will help you if you want to learn more about tables and possible errors and compatibility problems.
*laughing* I run into these things all the time, I didn't mean to make too light of your page, you are right I was implying that there was a problem in Netscape.
I hope all the links are helpful (the online validators are just as good, I use the htmlvalidator from CSE because I am not always online (no matter that it seems like) and it has very helpful error messages) and that you fix it up quickly!
cheers,
Suzanne

Woohoo! The problem is solved! I downloaded the HTML validator program and found out that I had forgotten to close some of the <TABLE> tags.
Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yup, Netscape doesn't like it when you don't close your table tags. IE will put up with it though.
THat business to business link doesn't work for me - get an "Unkown Tag: category_linked". This one does work:

Is this what you want us to critique? If so, well, you need some design elements. This is just way too plain and boring. It isn't going to get anyone's attention. Heck people might get there and think that this is one of those sites that hasn't been updated in 3 years.

I also seem to be getting that error message. Looks like something is wrong with the script.

No, I don't intend to use the page at http://www.goodbookmarks.com/dir/ I'll make one myself. I just want reviews of my categories, one of them is http://www.goodbookmarks.com/dir/Business_To_Business
I've solved the problem already.

It looks ok, but the upper left looks a bit blank... Also you might want to fix "Pages Updated On: <%date%> - <%time%>" at the bottom of the page. Finally, change the link text under the ad or don't use it at all... It's straining on the eyes to look at that text that is very close to the background but doesn't quite blend in.

tried three links from the body of the page (guru.com, etc.) and got the same message from each link

Well- it's not much different from the last version, but...
1) Get rid of the top black line around the ad area.
2) Put a bigger version of the "G" up above the news next to the ad. Also take away how the ad cuts into the side menu.
All I can think of right now...

Whoever came up for the idea is a genious! I can't resist punching that annoying monkey! What kind of rates do you get off it?
Sorry just don't seem to have any suggestions about your site at the moment everything has already been said!

Are you not going to have some sort of navigation menu on the left side? I think that would be a better idea than news.
Anyhow, the news stuff is indented too much, there's only one or two words on each line which makes those headlines really hard to read. Why don't try a scrolling news ticker script and use the rest of that space for navigation?
Have you checked this out on a Mac? That font size is pretty small as it is on a PC, and fonts usually look smaller on Mac. You should always be careful of going smaller than the default for that reason.
I still don't think the logo is quite right. Maybe in blue and yellow it would stand out more. The light on it looks kind of neat though. You should probably put it in the top left corner - that arrow on the blue thing looks like it should be pointing to something. That would be a great way to draw attention to your logo.
Overall your design has improved by about 800% since the first one you showed us. Much better.

Do you think it will be better if I move the menu bar below the search bar?

Probably... The news part looks better, but I still recommend putting navigation there.
