The client's colours are green and white. I haven't had any success with selling them on a third colour which leaves me with the 2... on a white background, well... it's just green!

Working with the tools, err.. tool at my disposal, I've come up with the following. I'm hoping that the use of photos will make up for the lack of colour.

It is pretty stark at this point but any thoughts?

I really can't find anything bad to say about this. It looks great. The only thing I can suggest is to center the table.

It looks good.

I was expecting an image map maybe on your home page. Clicking on it, in any section, brought up the profile page. Of course, if you made it an image map, you would probably have to change the pictures since they wouldn't fit your navs. That would be my only real beef. Along that line, it is not real clear to me what the site is about from your home page. Maybe it needs some kind of mission statement on the home page.

Taff,

I like it. It is a little "green" but it about trees. The intro page took a little long to load on my machine but I think it may be my compter. I have strapped its resources lately and it is a little sluggish. It was worth the wait though. Beautiful job you did there with the pictures.

I personally think that the rollover colors should be a differet color but what can you do if you can't sell them on a third color? Also, the row of green pictures at the top of the page would brighten up the site if they were just slightly colored their natural color but it really doesn't look that that bad. Kudos to you!!

Thanks guys. I'm still waiting for the client's feedback. I can only hope that it is as positive as yours.

Mairving and d-m have got me thinking...

If I could find eight images that work together, both on the splash and the graphic bar on the sub-pages, I could imagemap them both to the various sub-pages and have them either gain or lose their colour on mouseover.

I'm not sure about this though. I've never been a fan of mystery "guess what i am" links and it might be tough to find images that work thematically.

Megan: I am considering centering the tables. Undecided.

Mairving: I kind of thought that "Intergated Forestree Services Inc : Urban Forestry - Forest Management - Consulting and Contracting" was a good clue Smiling
I am thinking that some indicator of location might be helpful though.

d-m: the splash image is 57k. Even with SmartSaver, I found it deteriorating rapidly below that size. Perhaps because of the 4 disparate images? I'll have to work on that a bit - perhaps slice if necessary.

Thanks again for all the feedback!

This site is good. Two colors? I guess thatprobably tested you a little. You did do a very good job with what you have, and the images and such are arranged nicely.

Im guessing the latter pages arent done? Meaning the ones after Profile? I cant wait to see the others when they are done. Those are good pics your using very nice.

It is a good clue and I think that it might work great for a client presentation. But something in a sentence or two explaining exactly what you do, would be appropiate. I know that it would mess with the design of your site but it may be helpful. It would definitely be good to have their location also, since I am sure that there are parts of the world in which they don't work.

looks good

but the splash page....

Lots of white screen while I waited and waited. You said you'd work on it but how about a teaser until then.

Yeah, I know I may whine about images loading slowly. But here's something:

My Mom and Pop live in Ottawa, both have have jobs in the Fed. Govt. that deal with giving out cash, both like to work at home and both share a 28k modem.

All the other pages loaded quickly and looked good. Is that splash page really needed?

As for colors; use a little red. Do you remember my earlier argument?

Anyway, my pettiness aside, great stuff.

I must say that it is REALLY good!!
The colors are good, and easy to read.

A little problem is with the links though. It takes a little while from you have your mouse over the links, till they change.
Can't you just use some simple CSS? I don't know if you would be able to find such a great font, but still...

You did a great job!
