If you're not too busy. - Would you enrol here?
I've revamped this college site and need some ideas on how it looks etc. More importantly, does it seem like a place you'd like to study?

Well at a glance this site looks professional but rushed. It has an unfinished feel about it...
I will look at it again and try and try and pinpoint this.

I thought the site looked very good. Like JP I saw some rushed stuff.
First on the Schedule and Course fee pages the headline is black. On other pages it is blue. It should be the same on all pages.
Second, the watermark is unneeded and interferes with reading if you page down. Especially on the information page.
If you are going to use frames put in another frame under you header that has the page name in it. Better yet put a new graphic above the navigation that shows the current page.
Just my two cents

HI Woody,
I think your site has a nice composition.
I think some of the graphics don't coordinate with each other which is why these other two guys say it has an unfinished feeling. (ie....menu mouse with fuzzy background, silhouetted computer in the corner, then line art logo in the other corner...... All are very nice graphics but to me look like they were put there to fill up space. I think it would be nice to take the logo -- maybe adjust the colors of your heading to match the logo, then merge the computer picture in so they all coordinate into one smooth graphic element....... just an idea .
Also the colors, you have a very bright logo, darker heading, and blue writing, I would sync the colors a bit -- especially since your using a textured background image, maybe make the blue link text the same color as the heading OR, change the heading to a brighter shade or black, just another idea .
take care,
Carolyn

Thanks guys. I'll get right on it. JP - I'd like to know why it appears rushed. It was actually, but I have time to correct that.

Looks like a college homepage. Not too spiffy, but has enough color. The mouseover color is a little like, well, poop color. Anyway, I don't think you need to watermark either.

Thanks for the input. I've lost the watermark and adjusted the colors to balance out more. Will work on some graphics next.
A couple of questions:
-the manager wants the small top left logo always visible when not on the home page, but it should not show up at the same time as the large logo. Did this happen?
-the home + syllabus pages have a large keyboard background(IE only). Would this be too much on every page of the contents window? What do you think?
