I just created a website that is Google related. Please take a look and let me know what you think and if there is anything that I can add or need to get rid of. Thanks! My site is GoogleForYou.com

Your banner hurts, the background is very confusing and hurts your eyes, and why is there black at the bottom of it? You might as well drop the "Everything Google!" on the banner, it's not readible. Links are too close together and not noticable. It's also a bit too plain.

Thanks for your input guys. I did download a few different templates but I am having trouble wih the HTML, etc. This site is hosted by freewebs.com and I have to go along with their list of templates. Their templates are nice and they keep adding more to the list. I guess I'll just keep my site simple... kind of like Google has done with their site since they started. I did use a smaller "Ads by Google" banner. The larger one that I was using was pulling my page over to the right, and visitors had to scroll over to see the complete page.

Are you just doing the site for fun or do you plan for it to become a serious online resource?

If it's the latter, you need to ditch the free hosting provider and get a proper website setup. Your current site is basic, and tricky to use. If you don't know much about webdesign, sites like templatemonster.com offer cheap professional templates that will improve your image greatly. (hell... I could knock you up a better design than that for not a lot of wonga).

I'm mainly doing this site for fun, just like my other site that I jumbled together http://LakersHaters.com. How much would you charge to whip up a quick design for my site?

Needs a little contrast and the text you have is hard to read spread all the way across the screen. You could try some columns, that would also reduce the lenght of the page. Also try to keep the pages consistant.

I tried a couple of the links to resources and found some interesting stuff. Some comment about the links would be good, let people know what they will find.

There are no stupid questions, only stupid people!
