How does my web site look? The url is www.geocities.com/timessquare/zone/3688/
I don't think it is very good. So a new one is in progress.

You're right, I think you need a new design. But don't worry soon enough you'll be making great looking sites.

Definitely looks like a beginner site to me. Keep learning, and do some reading on web design - not coding, but actual design tips.

You've got too much junk on the main page (ads - I know the geocities one is necessary, but..., webrings, link buttons, mailing list thing). I think you should move all that junk to a links page and get some more actual content.

Under the codes section, there are pages (such as "E") with nothing on them - why make a page of nothing? Just get rid of the letter, or combine parts of the alphabet into one page until you get more content (ie. A-E, F-K etc.)

What strikes me about your site is the total lack of original graphics. I would download Paint Shop Pro at www.jasc.com and start learning to make your own graphics. Photoshop is the best graphics program, but PSP is much more affordable and is just as useful for the beginner. If you don't go the graphics route, try playing with tables and background colours for interesting effects (see www.webmonkey.com for a good example)

Javascripted pop-ups are always annoying - lose them!

It seems to me that you have no actual content here except for maybe parts of the "Codes" section (didn't really look to hard in there). Don't announce a site anywhere unless you have a reasonable amount of content done, and don't link to pages that just say "Coming Soon".

Thankyou for telling me! I have one in the process but it is gonna be Dreamcast too. So it might take a while to get it up and running.

Oh yeah by the way I did download fireworks' graphics program and could not figure out how to do it. I also downloaded Paint Shop Pro 5.0 and could not figure out to work that either. Please teach me I am on the trial period and don't have a real long time. Thanks!

Just look up "PSP 5 Tutorials" on Yahoo! and you will get a ton of results. Also, you may want to buy Paint Shop Pro because it does come with a book which guides you through the program.

Good Luck!

Rob thanks, I searched there but they were still unable to help. I ask people to make me some for free but they are always to busy or just don't feel like doing it. I wish I could find someone who could make me some. I made a post in the Job Section but noone has replied to it. I don't know what to do. I am just trying to make a web site to show people stuff and I don't feel like spending my money to give them free stuff. Well...I guess I should go search for someone to make me stuff.
Thank you

If you search hard enough and ar commited enough you can do anything you want for free on the internet, even in its now more commercial form. All you need is time and commitment. Smiling

I have the first page on the web. The pictures do not show up though. How do I get them to show up on Geocities? I wish I had someone to design my site. Well, www.geocities.com/TimesSquare/Zone/3688/ Visit and tell me how it looks now. Thanks!
