Hearts Affection
So, what do you think?
The site has been up for just over a month now, and I got a PR update to PR 4 just this afternoon. This site got a good review and is currently featured in UK WebUser magazine (issue 107, page 16), but I would like a little more feedback if possible.
Is there anything I could do to get more people to click through to my links?
General and details thoughts would be appreciated.
The site is Hearts Affection
Cheers,
Andy

The layout is clean, not too much going on colour wise. You have obviously got a fair bit of content there and it has been categorised accordingly (although you might need a search function once those categories grow to several pages!).
The bunny image however needs work, the jagged edges don't look very professional. Also you need to fix a couple of code errors. Another niggle may be the forum, why the pop-up?, would have been nice to see the forum integrated into the site pages rather than a pop-up which results in another window to the clutter.
Cheers

Thank you for your comments!
I have fixed the bunny - it does look much better now. Colour wise I wanted to keep it crisp and simple. I wanted a site that would keep people interested in the content rather than looking at bright fancy buttons etc. You're right on the search function. I will have to start researching that. I'm fairly new to php/mySQL though - I've not even figured out how to get the lists to span multiples pages - 10 per page or whatever yet (as I'm sure you will have noticed). If I was going to have listings (free sites for example) that were spanned over multiple pages, should I implement a system whereby the sites appeared randomly each time - therefore giving each a fair show on the first page, or should I just keep it alphabetical?
The forum is a pop-up as it doesn't look 100% the same as my site - I use forumsplace to host it. I therefore desided to have it in a new window. I hope that answers your question?

Layout is virtually perfect. I'd move the site of the day box somewhere, possibly just move it down so it's parellel to the categories box

Virtually perfect you say? And here I was expecting my site to get totally slated! Thank you! The site of the day box is just a css float, so I'll move it down a bit when I get a sec.
Thank you,
Andy

Since you've asked for my opinion...
1. "Hearts Affection" or "Heart's Affection"?
2. Perhaps another colour to contrast with the pink?
3. Why .com in superscript for title?
4. Why script text for "add to favorites", a computer feature?
5. Very lengthy and wordy for the main page, if I'm deciding if I want to stay then I probably won't due to it's length. I'd use more bullet points.
6. I'd avoid describing things that you can make clear an easier way:
"Seeking You Click on the link to open the site in a new window" vs
"SeekingYou.com []" insert a new window graphic for [].
7. "Latest Site News
4 new sites added:
eHarmony
Couple Catch
...
Click on the site names to read the reviews" vs
"Latest Site News
4 new reviews
eHarmony.com []
..."
8. "Your Independent Review of Matchmaking and Friend Finder Sites" may be a little hard to read for sight impaired.
9. Rounded boxes might look better for this kind of site

Thank you Peter - now I have something to go on!
Bill, thank you for the comments - I removed the statusbar and right click stuff to avoid people bypassing the affiliate links. Its still easily done I know, but it might stop a few.
If more people don't like it I will definately consider removing it.
Cheers,
Andy
