From the heart of Africa - A quick review please...
I've done a site makeover and need some criticism or comments on the general design before submitting it. What do you guys think? Does it say 'coffee'?

I think it does. I like it alot. Um, here is some points I have:
1) I don't see any point in the mouseovers. It's really hard to notice also. I think a mouseover would look cool, if you made it do something, um, cool (oh geez).
2) you should make the cell between the main text and menu a little wider, they are too bunched up.
3) i like how you used the background fade.

Woody,
I really like it. It's real easy to get around and the colors are nice and bold.
The only thing I don't like is the color that the gradient fades into. (The bottome greeny/yellow color) To tell you the truth - it kind of makes me sick. It doesn't remind me of food. But the top color is great. Maybe if you kept it more in oranges....
But overall it's a really good site!

Er..Woody...guys? WHAT mouseovers?
i dunno what's up, but the site was completely loaded, and there were no mouseovers....anyhow....
I like the layout...it DOES say coffee
don't see a problem with the color gradient at all.... its totally cool... nice job.
i'd like to see the mouseovers though..
maybe you shouldn't let you text get so close to the edges?... bring it in a bit in?
and move your contnt a little bit higher closer to the top....
on more thing... what is that lizard doing there all alone?

I like the lizard. It symbolizes the end of the page, it's like saying "Copyright Blah Blah Blah." When you put your mouse over the links on the left the little bar under it "pushes down." I like the color it fades into.

Nice - and yes, it says coffee.
- Mouseovers are good.
- Give your title graphics - all the ones at the top of the screen - a transparent background.
- The gradient is a little rough. It needs to be smoothed out a little, and the separation between colours made a little less obvious. Using JPEG smoothing would also help, and reduce file size too.

Thanks to all you guys,
Actually, there was a small problem with the img naming for mouseovers - fixed it now. Spacing and graphics adjusted and the lizard given a purpose.
I'm glad it has a coffee feel. Thanks again,
Woody

well all has been said
but...
- the mouseover text could change as well.
How long (for pricing question) did this site take you?
