Which one do you think would work best, and any ideas?

Personally, I like the color scheme on the current grindrail.net site better- but you do really need a logo.

1) You need a logo. No doubt about it.

2) All your designs look uneven. Like the first one for example: the top menu table isn't the width of the page.

3) I don't really like that menu you found at Dynamic Drive. I would recommend a fold out tree one (or whatever they are called). They have a sick one at Britta or whatever that guys name is.

4) It would also be pretty cool if the bg of all your pages was a different color. Maybe that would work...

The second one is way too boring IMO. The first one is okay, but I don't like that yellowey-orange. Reminds me of the 70's. Are you going to use a different colour for each page (I can only get into the tricks page right now). That would be a cool idea.

Overall your layout just doesn't make sense to me. But maybe you were going for that kind of a look. You very definitely need a site title or logo. What you'll notice about logos for most big companies is that they're just the name witten in a unique font. So surf font pages and look for something that suits your site.

A hover effect for the navigation would help. What's with the ad that looks like a screenshot? Or are you just using that to link to the other site? It looks bad because the desktop appearance doesn't match the background, and it's kind of looks like it's in the middle of nowhere.

I just used that bgcolor on the main page simply becuase....er....I don't know. I don't think I should use black though. I was trying to make every pages' color scheme different, and the tricks section will be pretty good. But any ideas of navigation? I just came up with that so I'd have a nav.

Try that one. I got that menu from dynamicdrive.com, so I tried it out. I think it's cross-browser too. Would that be good for nav?

Yeah, justin, I agree with you.

I am going to keep that bar, but expand it across the page. Do you remember an old post and I had two different designs, one was on pcdev.com? I think you said that it'd be better without the frame, so I guess that's it.

But, anyways, any ideas on a bgcolor for the main page? This girl said that the yellowish-orange reminded her of the 70's (don't want that happening )

I'm procrastinating, so I saved your page and am playing with some bgcolors. A medium orange, like cc6600 looks alright, or medium green (336633), dark blue (000066), dark red (660000), dark red with a hint of purple (660033), dark blue with a hint of green (003366), teal (006666)... these are looking better and better!

Don't use black, that's too boring. I really like the idea of changing the bgcolor for each page. It'll liven things up a lot without a lot of work.
