Please ignore the language, it`s roumanian, and focus on "look and feel" of the site. I`m looking forward to read your opinions!

Not a bad start. I really like the icons along the navbar and the clean, light look. There are a few problem to point out, though. FIrst of all, the logo is very weak. It doesn't stand out or catch the eye at all. I do like that curve there though.

The other problem is that the light, clean look is spoiled by cluttter. The ads are particularly distracting. Also the dropdowns along the top and the newsletter and poll on the left side. I would try to get rid of some of that.

At close look, some of those icons could use some work. The top two and the bottom one are okay but the ones in the middle are too detailed to make out at such a small size. Simplify!

I like your site... very clean! Nice usage of white. The icons, as in the above comment chould be clearer.

I think you logo needs to be more prominent than the banner. You don't want people remembering the banner ad and not your site logo.

I will try to fix the logo...sometime next week!
Any other suggestions?

I think I'm having a bad day with regards to links! Sad I can barely make out the links on this page, even with glasses on. Good that you've used a different colour, but I'd appreciate them being underlined. Smiling

If I knew Romanian, I might be able to offer a more wholesome review. Without knowing the content, half the design is irrelevant. I take it this is a web site regarding children in some way? If it is, then your design is working quite well in communicating the subject matter. Smiling

Consider validating the code. http://validator.w3.org/check?verbose=1&uri=http%3A//www.gradinite.com/

I think it's a fair piece of work. Good job. Smiling

It's a good site, well made. Pretty straightforward. A little bit too much white for my tastes tho.

I really like this one! I love white, I believe people nowadays want to come in, get the information quickly and go. Overcoloured sites slow this process down.
I would make your nav images on the left just rollover - not blink like they do.
Otherwise very good.

About the validator, it sucks! Check this out! http://validator.w3.org/check?verbose=1&uri=http%3A//www.google.com/ -> It google.com :light:

Thanks for the opinions!

Actually, all that shows is that Google isn't using standards. It has nothing to do with the suckiness or lack thereof of the validator.

I think the light clean look is really nice, but I agree about the 'clutter'. Especially on some pages where there is a teeny bit of content, yet the page scrolls on and on with nothing in the 'meat' area.

Are those ads mandatory? Could you remove them and maybe place everythig form the Newsletter section on down over there maybe? That would achieve some balance.

Also.....and this is a picky of mine......the curvy line to the right of the main text content is hitting the text in that first block of text. Can you pad that a bit?

Suzanne> validator suck isn`t a bad word, and beside, it just checks if some standards are respected. But those can`t say if a website actually works perfect or not. So it doesn`t give you usefull information, there for it sucks Laughing out loud

Dude, the whole point of validating is to determine if the code is logical and well formed. That's it. It's not *supposed* to tell you you've done a good job and give you a hero biscuit, just spell and grammar check, so to speak, your code.

Suzanne said "Dude"? weird;)

I like it. Very good use of white, usually I don't like white. The only thing I don't like is the outline of the logo, it is a strange shape.

Suzanne> maybe, but grammar isn`t always the best thing to do when writing code. The important thing is the final site, how it look, how fast it loads, so on...

It`s just a word...what`s the big fuss?

Anyway, are there any other suggestions?

Thank you people...How about the loading time? Does it load reasonably fast?

There`s a banner there. Perhaps it didn`t load when you enter the page. And what do you mean by "washed out"

Really nice site... I love the fading navigation menu on the left hand side. The whole site gives off a sense of reliability and is easy to navigate. Well done! Smiling

I like the clean layout although I feel the links are a bit "washed out"

Maybe something could go in the top section above the blue line to the right of the logo?

Site loaded quickly for me

Just my opinion though

I have Norton and it blocks out banners, including the internal crucial one on my site. I must fix the settings!

By washed out I meant very light with bright colours. It is not so bad with the banners on the right hand side.

I have a problem with this website. I can`t get it to work right in mozzila firefox. The problems are the tags, they don`t show their whole content.
It`s "sector" and it only shows "secto".
Please help me!!!

Don't know exactly but the " tags" problem could be something to do with using standards compliant coding...but i'm not going to go back to that.

I do have one question though, the site is obviously something to do with children….yes, so why the computer/internet adds? They just don’t seem to fit.

There are no stupid questions, only stupid people!
