hi, Funcoland ( http://www.funcoland.com ) is looking for a new front page design. As an employee of Funcoland I jumped right on this because its my ticket into the webdev department. I started brainstorming and came up with a few ideas i thought would work great, then they hit me with this -The funcoland logo ( http://www.funcoland.com/promos/contest/images/funcologo.gif ) must appear on the site and can not be altered in any way!
Well, all my ideas went out the window then and there. Funcoland logo is a 5 colored nightmare!
I consider myself to be artistic and creative, and I know my way around photoshop and paint shop pro like the back of my hand, but this is my first project where i am taking design into consideration and I am stumped! Is it just me or is this logo VERY limiting? I feel like I have to use all five colors in the page or it wont look right, is this assumtion correct?
Im interested to hear how experienced developers would handle a project like this. Im not looking for someone to design it for me, but i need something to get the ball rolling...

I don't feel that the logo will hold you back, ok, so it's got 5 colours in it, but I think it looks good.
What I would do is chose maybe 2 or three colours (and they don't even need to be ones in the title) and use them on all the pages.
I'm sure that if you use the right colours the logo at the top will still look good.

Yeah, I can see what you're saying. I don't think you have to use all those colors though...
BTW: I'm moving this to the General Discussion Forums so more people can give opinions...
